Am I crazy or does Terrell have 40% of the votes? Wow, even Marciano and Carnera wouldn’t do that well. I’m jealous
All those articles are from what Wilder has said. I've seen them all . But that's what he is SAYING or someone close to him is SAYING. Where is the PROOF? If a guy like Wilder, one of the biggest excuse makers in the history of boxing actually had surgery, he'd be pointing out a bandaged arm on every sports talk show available. He'd have the Dr that performed the surgery on every talk show with him. He's an excuse maker, its what they do. Put it in the book of the other 10-20 excuses he's made. I won't get down to your level of insults because I don't agree with you. One thing I've learned is facts make "fanboys" uncomfortable. And they play the shell game with half truths or straight up lies. You have no proof of Wilder having surgery other than what he has said. No pictures of him bandaged? No Dr giving a diagnosis? Arm seemed to work fine until he was ko'ed by Fury...l Hhhmmmmm? But you sir have a great day.
Christ. Are you new at this? Wilder has had more surgeries than I can count. He had THREE after the Arreola fight ALONE, and he entered that fight with all the skin burned off his upper right arm from God knows what which was never fully reported on. And he actually WON that fight. He's been an athlete (for a while now) who, if he makes it through training camp without too many injuries, he needs to have injuries repaired postfight. He's beginning to break down, essentially. But, he's 35, and that happens to athletes. Enough already. You are clearly out of your league. Pick a topic you know something about. https://www.15rounds.com/wilder-facing-two-more-surgeries/
Terrell was the more skilled fighter.... but he didn’t have the power or the aggression to hurt Wilder and his chin was average at best. He also wouldn’t enjoy the sort of height and reach advantage in this fight which helped to get him through his career in the sixties. I can see Ernie winning some of the early rounds but eventually the shots he’d be taking would take their toll and would eventually see him on the canvas. Wilder by mid round KO
Terrell outboxes him. He fought way better opposition for one thing. It's easy for Wilder to look impressive when he is lining up one can after the other. He struggled with a fat, 40 year old Ortiz who would not have been much more than a journeyman in the 1970's.
Talk about regurgitating.... Out of my league? Really? A topic I know something about? Ok. Dude I've forgotten more about boxing than you actually know. Anyone who believes Wilder is something great clearly doesn't believe his own eyes. So I'm sure you won't believe mine, or anyone else's. But again sir. Have a great day.
You have forgotten a lot about boxing if you think Deontay Wilder is Jeff Sims. I'll leave it at that.
A 6-4, 240 pound southpaw with Ortiz's amateur career in the 70s? I doubt you would have heard much about him, nobody would have fought him. Ortiz would dominate most eras of boxing if he could get fights. It takes a Wilder or Fury or maybe a Joshua to beat him now. These are guys with height, length, strength, and power that was not seen 40-50 years ago.
No, more like Cleveland Williams (before he was shot), Zora Folley, Bob Foster, Eddie Machen, Doug Jones, George Chuvalo and going the full distance with Ali.
He wasn't even close to showing it took Wilder, Fury or Joshua to beat him. I see no reason to think he'd dominate if the competition was David Haye, Povetkin, Hunter, and Usyk. In terms of quality of wins he is about on par with Chisora.
Who did Judah have to beat to get a shot at Floyd? Oh wait, he lost to a shot, overrated Baldomir. Berto only had to beat some journeyman named Chambers and a B-level Josesito Lopez for his shot at Floyd, I guess no one else was more deserving? Floyd was the best cherry picker ever. Who did Jeff Horn beat to deserve a shot at Manny? Wilder fought a long string of nobodies for 38 fights before finally getting in with Ortiz, who is not an ATG on anyone's list. Finally steps up to Fury who has half as many fights and gets schooled. Refresh our memeory, who did Takam beat to get his shot at AJ? We could all use a good laugh. So much for modern match making.
