He was stopped in the 1st round by Chris Arreola in 2012. He was also stopped in the 1st round in his pro debut. He has a stoppage win over a past prime DaVarryl Williamson, TKO5.

Overall the 6'4", 240 Lber is 33 years old and 23-2 (17). He has no wins over top Heavyweights.

    He is THAT irrelevant.

I can't believe he's getting a shot at the WBC HW world title.

    Tyson Fury
    Alexander Povetkin
    Kubrat Pulev
    Bryant Jennings
    Tony Thompson
and Antonio Tarver would be better...

even Steve Cunningham would be better.

86/1. Wilder is a tomato can himself so I believe there is a 50/50 chance here for both men.

He will have 2 more fights before retirement, because Povetkin will brutalize him so badly that he won't ever enter the ring again.

I'm not saying any athlete isn't using something. I was just commenting on the statement that he'd put on a huge amount of muscle weight in a short period.

    He hasn't.

His weight has been very consistent. When he weighed in before Stiverne, people were very surprised how light he was because it had been years since he weighed below the 220s. Now he's back in the 220s where he's been for three years. He didn't gain 10 pounds of muscle.

He just didn't sweat off as much weight in training as he lost last time he boxed. And before that fight, people thought he'd lost too much weight.

    He's fine.
