Joyce has a great chin but he's so slow and hittable. I could see him outlasting Wilder but i would never count out Deontay

    Tricky one to predict.

Joyce has a very good chin but he is open to right hands and Wilder has a hell of a right hand. I have no doubt at some point Joyce will take a Wilder right hand and how he takes it will decide the winner.

Some might think as long as Wilder lands then it's over much like vs Breazeale but Joyce is better than Breazeale, better jab, better chin, better head movement, better footwork. Also Fury who I do not believe has a good as chin as Joyce took Wilder's right hand and got up. Arreola too who has a good chin wasn't KO'ed but retired. Wilder's will probably need more than one right hand to end this.

Also we've seen how a heavy jab can push Wilder back and on the back foot he can't get the same leverage on the right hand, if Joyce backs him up consistently he might take the right hand out of the equation. Though Joyce is slow it's possible Wilder can fire off a right hand before Joyce can close the gap to press him onto the back foot.

I say it's a pick em fight but if I had a gun to my head I'd pick Joyce but it wouldn't be a confident pick.

The more and more I think about it, the more I think Joyce would beat Wilder up badly. I've said in the past if Joyce's chin is what it appears to be and that hail Mary Wilder shot can't clean him up, Joyce would stop him. It looks more and more like his chin is what it appears to be. On top of that, his jab destroys faces, and his style is to push back and work. Tyson showed that if you push Wilder back and stay in his face, he's done.

    People hate Wilder too much.

When you hate or dislike someone you can't be unbiased.

Yes joyce has basically no head movement
Wilder literally has ONE power shot
If joyce rolls with/dodges a couple of the early straights from Wilder, Wilder is done.
EVEN if Wilder lands, Joyce will eat it like breakfast, especially later in the fight

    60-40 Wilder.

Joyce is a big stiff robot. I have to imagine Wilder can land easy on him. Wilder also, can't box. Whoever lands a few good bombs first.

Wilder by late knockout. I don't think Joyce has the footwork or speed of Tyson Fury to control the rhythm of the fight in it's entirety.

I think Joyce will be winning the fight and the mid rounds Wilder will start landing more and stop Joyce on his feet.

It's actually probably the best heavyweight fight which could be made from a style clash standpoint.

I’d pick Joe Joyce. Stiverne took Wilder’s power well enough in the first fight with just hands up and teeth gritting. That was probably the most conditioned, not old man that Wilder has fought besides Fury in fight II which also took the few shots Wilder got through.

Yes. And I doubt Joyce will be a champ at any point too.

I disagree about the head movement. While he's no Tyson Fury or Wilder in terms of head movement it's not like he's Dubois where his head barely moves.

Joyce relies on a high guard and range more as his defence but the problem he has is he throws so much it exposes him to be countered as we saw vs Takam. When he decides to box more and be less aggressive he uses much more head movement as we saw vs Dubois and Jennings. Though against Wilder I think he'd press more and so we'd see less head movement from him vs Wilder which does expose him to getting hit.

I think if Wilder wins by KO it will be early when Joyce hasn't fully gotten into his rhythm. When he's been stopped in the past as an amateur it was in the first round when you are more prone to being KO'ed.

Wilder's tendency to come from behind vs guys like Fury in fight one and both Ortiz fights is because he's waiting for his opponent to tire and once they slow he can then catch them With Joyce his engine is so good he won't tire late like Fury and Ortiz, if Wilder can't land his KO shot early I don't think he'll land it at all.

I like Joe Joyce but he gets hit way too much. From the right hand no less. Coming from Wilder that will be his undoing. Wilder by 1st or 2nd round KO, if he's not mentally ruined by Fury now.

He would be if he had someone to fight as easy as deontay did to win his title..

Unfortunately two of the strongest HW fighters hold them which makes things a lot more difficult for Joyce at this time in comparison to denty winning a belt and thus fighting can after can..

Lol at denty looking better than Joyce though.
