It's still a world heavyweight title, ain't it? All I'm saying is Povetkin could have defended his world title against a more credible opponent than Boswell. Where was the backlash then?
You are sad, sad individual. Wilder could be fighting the reanimated corpse of Tommy Morrison and you would not only defend the fight, but sing it's praise. You never once talked about Duhaupas before this fight was made, because now he's some world beater because he's fighting Wilder
Because he's fighting Wilder, no other reason right? atsch Boswell was a solid heavyweight with losses to people better than Wilder, or Duhapuas, but he was an inferior fighter because he's not fighting Wilder. But if he were to fight Wilder he would somehow become good again I bet.
Don't kid yourself. Boswell was 42 years old. Povetkin spent weeks sparring with Boswell (before the Chagaev bout) five months before defending the title against Cedric. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z-X-y5_esq4 They "picked" Boswell for a reason. And Boswell fought Povetkin just like he did when they sparred. I don't believe Duhapuas spent weeks helping Wilder prepare for his last fight. And I don't believe he's in his 40s. There was never any thought among Povetkin's people that they'd lose that fight.
Boswell was a solid heavyweight is what I'm saying. He only lost to a prime McCline after going nearly 10 rounds with him, and Povetkin. There's nothing to suggest that Duhapuas is better than he was, and I'm a big Duhapuas fan... I was one of the few people who on here who followed his career prior to the Charr, and Teper fights and one of the few who picked him to beat Charr when he was an 8/1 underdog... But come on.
He was still a capable heavyweight at that age, not a world beater or anything but more or less on par with Duhapuas now, maybe a little better or worse.
