Deontay Wilder vs Lennox Lewis

If Zico Mavrovic can pelt Lewis with right hands then Wilder would certainly render him Sparko with one of his.

 

Some of you guys are silly. Look you won't find a bigger Lennox fan than me. I've been on record as saying Lennox is the best ever at heavyweight and I still feel that way. Could Wilder outbox Lewis? Obviously not. But that isn't the end all be all. People could argue that just about everybody Wilder has been in with is a better boxer than Wilder. Yet he is 41-0-1 what with 39 KOs or something like that.

Wilder has several advantages in the matchup. He has more power. Wilder is the only fighter we've seen in a long time with one punch KO power. For instance Joshua has the physique of a GOD and we can all agree he is powerful but he doesn't have one punch KO power like Wilder does. Joshua will have to put his punches together in combinations and wait for the cumulative affect to take hold.

Also the ideal that Wider and Lennox are equal in speed in laughable. Wilder is the most athletic and probably the fastest heavyweight I've ever seen especially for a 6'5 plus heavyweight. Also since Wilder isn't a fundamentally sound boxer believe it or not that can work to his advantage in many situations. It's hard to time and get a feel for a guy that is so awkward and that does so many things wrong at least according to the experts.

Look Lewis got knocked out twice by guys that weren't great fighters. For all the so call bums Wilder has been in with he never come close to being knocked out. And he has been in with some powerful guys too. I'm not just going to ignore that.

Awhile back most folks thought Joshua would beat Wilder just because Joshua technique wasn't so "obviously flawed". Now there are many more folks that think Wilder would win. Goes to show so called great technique isn't the end all be all like many folks have made it out to be.

Wilder is an especially tough fighter to judge compared to past fighters since he isn't a classical fighter. But that doesn't mean he can't beat classical fighters.

With the same opposition Lewis would be with "half punch" KO power. And also about AJ, he would also knock out almost all Wilder's rivals.
