I'm still rolling with Ortiz in this one but yeah this would be a legit win for Wilder and I would give him serious props.

Let's be honest, he doesn't even have to take this fight. He could easily have looked at Breazeale or Whyte instead

I'm very critical of Wilder but can't blame him for the first fight falling through,
    or the **** with Povetkin.

    Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!

    6 defenses!!!!!

Wasnt Butterbean 40 and O or somethung too?

Hey im just trolling for the most part, put it this way, as soon as Wilder chooses to step up and actually does i will cut him so slack.

Until then, not so much. The guy is the WORST cherry picker i can ever recall, considering he is a very talented fighter!!

I dont want to discredit this fight because ive been waiting years for Wilder to face somebody with some actual skills. Ortiz is clearly way past his prime now but this version of him is still guna be the best thing on Wilders resume.

Wilder should be able to dance circles round him and pepper him from a safe range. But 1 of Wilders things is he gets messy, complacent and over eager, weve been saying for years when he faces somebody with skills he isnt guna be able to get away with that. So im looking forward to seeing if he can keep his composure and his focus and do a good job on Ortiz.

The 6 WBC title defenses didn't sink in yet?

There is no stepping up, Wilder is already plateauing....Few more title defenses & he is better than Tyson & Vitali

Truth be told, there has never been a cherry picker as talented as Wilder is, he has seriously broken brand new ground when attempting to step up over 40 fights.

Im not a big fan of AJ's but he deserves respect for his first 20 fights and he has been getting it at least in the UK.

Until Wilder proves himself at the top level he is nothing but a very talented fighter that is thus far the best cherry picker boxing has ever seen and he should be treated as such.

    A few more title defenses?

You mean IF he steps up during one of his future title defenses?

Trust me, if Wilder doesnt step up in future he wont ever be regarded as highly as guys like Vits and Fury, those guys stepped up, Wilder to date has not.

    Wilder KO Gavern (Aug 2014)
    Zhang KO Gavern (Nov 2014)
    Joshua KO Gavern (April 2015)

All credit goes to Hearn, he knows how to play with the minds of the peasantry...

A title defense is a title defense, we still respect Joe Louis title defenses against fat Sicilians.

We remember the number, Tyson & Vitali title defenses were no harder than Wilder, the only diff is that your mind is conditioned to desire the fall of Wilder...tough luck, you picked a powerful enemy, Wilder will keep tormenting the peasants who want to see his fall, its a long painful reign by the long legged brutal King

You are playing with your own mind not even realizing it. Well deep down you realize it but you are too weak to do anything about it. Not your fault, you're scared, its ok.

Its common among jealous **** gobblers.

Finally after 10 years as a pro Wilder is stepping up against a 45 year old man.
