Just hope this one turns out a decent fight and not a 90 second blow out. If Ortiz has anything left it could be very interesting.

Never understood why some folk rated him so much to be honest as his own resume is no better than Wilders and as you say those two fights under Hearn were meant to be showcase fights and he actually made himself look bad against Scott and Allen, certainly not what you’d of expected from AJ and Wilder if they fought em.

Wilder will probably get outboxed for a while but give him his due he usually gets the KO.

I would be looking forward to this more than AJ Parker, but I'm fairly sure AJ Parker will happen and 50/50 on whether Wilder Ortiz happens.

We all thought the first time it would happen...............Breazeale is waiting to take Old Man Ortiz' place and is owned by Haymon, was also knocked out by Joshua! That should qualify him......................and old 50 year old man still scares Wilder..................

In my opinion Ortiz is way too old to compete with the top dogs. He showed some stamina issues before, plus if Wilder fights like he did against Stiverne in their first fight, Ortiz won't stand a chance. I can see Wilder controlling the fight with his jab IF he uses it.

Stiverne is not in the same class as Ortiz, doubt if the nursing home will allow Ortiz to fight though...............his heart pills, blood pressure medicine, Lipitor and walker should all be covered by medicare!

The fight will happen so long as Ortiz doesn’t **** hot for his blood pressure meds again.

I don’t think Vada is taking Ortizs Cuban age seriously enough.

He will soon be 39, but there are many reports that he is almost 50 years old, at least 48 or 49...............

I’ve heard nothing but good things.

Saw GGG-Lemmy at MSG and the atmosphere was absolutely electric. Doubt it would compare for Wilder-Ortiz but Brooklyn but I hear is just a fun place to catch a card.

They’ll never get the mega-fights because of MSG, but it could certainly be a fight fans home.

I was at GGG-Lemy. Barclays is smaller, and like half the price of MSG, so you sit much closer to the ring for not that much money. Also the Brooklyn crowd is much wilder. Twice I’ve seen fights break out in the stands. The smell of weed is everywhere in the building. But it’s a new building. The subway goes right there. And you can find unmetered parking on the street close by if you drive.
