Not that awful a foe for Wilder. Offers more than Audley anyway.

At least the Stone Man probably won't hit the hay in the 1st round or two...

He is usually reliable for getting a fair night's work in for young prospects.

Of course Wilder isn't most prospects (and you can interpret that in multiple ways - as in, he possesses loads more power than most...but also is far more protected than most...) so we could easily see another quick blitz that will add nothing to his education and growth or prepare him for real challenges should he ever get there...

Took him five rounds and he weighed less for that fight than his last one.

    Just saying...

Firtha is a step down, somehow, than way past it Sergi.

I like Nicolai Firtha, he's an honest journeyman with a lot of heart.

But it's time Deontay Wilder (29-0, 29 KOs, five years as a pro) stepped up to better competition. It's not like he has injuries, or a broke promoter without a TV contract, or isn't fully capable of beating decent journeymen like Kevin Johnson, Manuel Charr, Malik Scott, Mariusz Wach and Dominick Guinn.

The HW division needs a star American. Deontay fits the role and I think he has the required talent, but he's becoming thought of by many as a joke like Tye Fields or David Rodriguez.

Has a guy that ever placed in the Olympics had this "slow" of start to his career. What exactly is his team hoping for? Do they want to cash him out? Even to cash him out you have to fight someone who isn't coming out of retired or never in the top 100 to begin with. You can still cherry pick with names like people have heard of, like Freedom said above. I mean is it to continue getting hype? Are we really going to care about him knocking out another journeyman?

I know, I know, I'm not asking anything new.
