Who would win between Wilder and Bowe? Wilder had the power but Bowe was a very skilled big man, who can fight on the inside. I believe Bowe if properly trained could beat anyone, but he was known to slack off in training. Eddie Futch used to get really frustrated with him.

Wilder has a punchers chance, he's longer, faster and if he can land that right hand anything could happen. But Bowe had a ton of heart, Golota almost killed him and couldn't keep him down, not sure Wilder could put enough consistent pressure to force a stoppage and if he tried Bowe could always catch him coming in.

Bowe has the better jab, better inside game and once he does get inside he wrecks Wilder. If Ortiz and Washington can outbox Wilder I can't see him racking up many rounds vs Bowe. He likely gets out boxed and out worked, but like in the Ortiz fight finds moments where he hurts and even drops Bowe, punishing Bowe for his porous defence, but he can't keep Bowe down and Bowe eventually gets to him and KO's Wilder or wins a clear decision.

Man, I don't like either of these two, but, if I have to pick it's Bowe. He's simply technically better than Wilder and I think he could probably force the fight up close and bust Wilder up something bad. Wilder has a puncher's chance, I guess.

I have a difficult time envisioning any version of Wilder beating the Bowe from 1992.

Im a Holyfield fan, but Bowe beat him twice and the one fight Evander won Bowe was out of shape. I always wondered with Bowe's skills if he actually trained how good he could have been, maybe top 10 of all time heavyweights.

I have trouble picturing anyone but a prime Lennox beating Bowe of 92, even then its a hard fight. Bowe that night was the most complete big man I've ever seen

Bowe. I think he gets a little over praised sometimes but he beats Wilder.

Come on. Give Wilder some credit.

He's willing to go & fight Joshua. Not hide from him the way Bowe did with Lennox Lewis.

If Lennox Lewis was around today, Wilder would be checking his cupboards and under his bed every night before going to sleep, just in case.

Lennox is around today. Except he's changed his name & is called Anthony.

Wilder may well get his clock cleaned, but at least you know he's going to front up & fight.

Which is more than can be said for Bowe.

I'd say he's called Alexander and that he's still got Wilder's luggage that he left behind in the rush to catch the first plane out.

Bowe ducking Lewis was shameful. But I think Lewis at the time > AJ.[/QUOTE]

And AJ would be beltless trying to cut to Cruiser

Lewis is a level above AJ in every department, maybe speeds equal...IQ, and 1 punch power and there is a gulf
