While I think AJ is pretty good ... yes. You are right.

AJ might be stronger, I guess. Dunno how that will really help though.

Nope, AJ isn't even stronger imo...Lewis's main attributes was strength, Holy said he had strength that you simply couldn't do anything with, I could see it every time against a big man what Holyfield was on about. Its the reason I have him rag dolling Ali in h2h fantasies, you just cant clinch him, he man handles strong men, and whips that uppercut in close well disguised, AJ tries it but he cant disguise it as good

While I think Bowe should get plenty of flack for not taking the Lewis fight when it mattered, I don't think it's a fair comparison to compare Bowe ducking Lewis and Wilder fighting Joshua.

Fact is Bowe didn't take the fight when he had something to lose, he was making good money, was undisputed champion and had all the belts.

Wilder is in a totally different scenario. He's making peanuts compared to what Bowe was making, he only has one belt and no respect from most pundits for years of ducking anything looking like a competitive fight.

Would Wilder so easily agree a fight now with Joshua if he was in Bowe's shoes making $11 million to rematch Stiverne like Bowe did and had all the belts, with a Joshua who had just KO'ed Wlad and Molina in 3 when Wilder struggled with Molina? Wilder has nothing to lose in fighting Joshua now, it's easy to look like the brave man when you can only gain, even from a loss.

Lewis would happily have fought Bowe in the US & Bowe still wouldn't fight him.

Possibly the worst duck by any fighter in my time as a boxing fan.

Wilder is willing to travel to the other side of the world to face Joshua.

I don't respect Bowe for what he did. I do respect Wilder for what he's going to do.

Hatton v Witter and Khan V Brook blow any other duck out the water, zero resistance for either fight to be made bar Hatton and Khan bottling it, huge huge domestic clashes. Bowe ducked Lewis though, your right. Bowe was my favourite, but Lewis had him mentally back pedalling for the clash

Thats what the uniformed believes. There's a myriad of factors involved in that situation which lead to Bowe throwing away the WBC belt.

Canelo was forced to throw the WBC belt away for similar reasons , we know it wasn't because he didn't want to fight Golovkin.

To cut a long story short , Newman wasn't a respected manager in the business and King conspired with his WBC buddies to get their belt off Bowe for Lewis without having to fight him.

Lewis got two good and decent offers from Newman which he rejected on the advice from Maloney who knew Don King would eventually bid $12M for Lewis to fight his guy Tony Tucker , meaning Lewis would make a whopping $9M.

Lewis was only to happy to fight the washed up remains of Tucker for a gigantic pay day , rather than fight Bowe for just $3M which was the same amount Bowe received when he challenged Holyfield.

Maloney summarily rejected three previous offers from Newman.

Riddick could not have had a better trainer than Eddie Papa Smurf Futch. After he beat Vander & ducked Lennox Lewis he just got fat & lazy. Eddie finally gave up on him
Newman milked him as long as he could he knew Bowe could never beat Lewis

Tough to see how Wilder wins. Bowe takes and excellent punch and is an infinitely better boxer too.

From what we've seen of him so far, it's tough to pick Wilder to outbox any great HW. He has a punchers chance agaisnt anyone, but can't be favoured over HW's that showed they could take a shot.

    Bowe KO 8.

Newman & Bowe renaged on the signed deal they had which was Bowe fight Holyfield & Lewis fight Ruddock
Then the two winners fight to determine who was the real champion
Newmajn saw what Lennox did to Ruddock &. renaged
As Rock told me himself in Dallas Tx " Why fight Lewis & risk it all when folk will buy Dokes & Ferguson".

If RB wasnt such a slacker he wouldve gone down as a top 5 all time at HW. Bowe at the top of his game Wipes out the HW division today. Easily.

I'm one of the few that believes if the fight would have happened when it was supposed to have, Bowe would have beaten Lewis. As I recall, this was pre Manny and Manny fixed alot of problems that Bowe would have taken advantage of. Lewis didn't fight Big of us his Jan correctly. He left it hanging out there far too long for Bowes big looping overhand right. Bowe was the better inside fighter and had a better chin.

75% chance Bowe would have KO'd Wilder.
