lol! Well the measurement should be mid thigh, not at the thickest part close to the body. Still you be clearly have more thigh bulk than Wilder. It would be possible but unusual for any non-waist measurement to be underestimated. Perhaps if'n it was old & he bulked up, but that is certainly not the case here.

Who gives a shlt? You bunch of size queens!

If we are going to do this... Fred Fulton's upper arm measured just 14" around! Some people call this a bicep measurement but I have a problem with that since the tricep is also involved in the measurement. Anyway, mine measured over 14" when I was 5'5" and 126 Lbs. at age 13... it means nothing.

    Hookie, shutuppayaface! :D

Seriously though, it does mean something.
Of course muscle is only a past of a range of things, & strength alone means lttle, even amongst bthe HWs.
But there is a point where a *tiny* measurement relative to the most powerful division certainly could effect, something. if not punching power, then inside wars, standing your ground....

Yes of course the Triceps are ae ~ 2/3 of the upper arm.

Fulton is an interesting comparison, since he was almost exactly the height & weight of Wilder, even a longer reach. But 14" arms was not NEARLY as small, especially given the much larger era today.

There is nothing Classic about a guy who caught belt in this day.

Before we start casting judgement either way, let's see how his career plays out. Otherwise, it is unfair to him and to whomever is the imagined Classic opponent.

I don't know how everyone can discount a guy who is 33-0 with 32 knockouts and is coming off a fairly dominant route going decision against his first good fighter hes faced. Wilder hasn't proven to be a great fighter yet but he has proven to be a devastating puncher with good composure he has tremendous physical tools. Watching guys like Lennox Lewis and Rid**** Bowe when they were on the come up gives me a lot of faith in Wilder, a lot of people doubted them and both ended up becoming great fighters. I have faith in Wilder and I feel he may have the stuff to be a tough match up for any of the greats. You have to realize a guy with the physical attributes he has with the devastating right hand power that he has is a dangerous opponent for anyone. One thing too I feel he is still getting better. An interesting fight I've been thinking of would've been instead of Bowe facing a prime Holyfield in their first fight you plug in Wilder. It would've been very interesting to see how the 205 lbs Holyfield who can be hit would deal with Wilder with his physical advantages and power.

In all honesty if his thighs measure just 18", he should work on his legs.
