Deontay Wilder vs Tony Tucker

You can't claim to have a great chin without testing it against big hitters.

What huge hitters did Ortiz fight aside from Wilder himself.
Wlad, Zhang, Dubois, Joshua are all big hitters none of whom he faced

 

No need for a serious response since the idea that Wilder somehow isn't a huge hitter is willfully ignorant.

 

Wilder had Chisora stumbling around the ring multiple times from single shits. Chisora literally backed up running on several occasions.

Chisora was knocked down about 3 times, knocked out of the ring twice (the ref literally helped him back up once, his corner helped him the second time, both illegal). Chisora had a bad cut that needed globs of Vaseline.

Chisora didn't win more than 4 rounds, with 1 round even. Wilder battered him for 7 rounds and the ref frequently checked on Chisora to "make sure he was alright".

Chisora called a "time out" complaining to the ref and the ref gave it to him. Illegal maneuver.

Chisora's trainer jumped in the ring--another illegal maneuver.

The split decision was a joke. There is no way on Earth Chisora won 6-7 rounds.

Chisora should've been disqualified and he was illegally save by the ref multiple times. Wilder dismantled him despite the deck being stacked against him and getting hit by Chisora's rabbit punches all night.

 

Coljimar, double jab, and Catchweightboxing frequently downplay Wilder's power/resume/etc. they' have produced some of the most bizarre, dumb arguments I've seen for years.

 

Wilder deserves credit for that win tbf.

 

Officials should have cleaned them up between rounds.

 

Tucker fought scared against huge punchers who he knew could knock him out with 1 punch.

There are many guys I’d pick Tucker to beat, maybe even guys who’d beat Wilder, but this is a bad matchup for him.

 

Prime Tucker wins a UD. Deontay doesn't have the skills to hand with him.

Yes, but he could do more, which is all it might take if Tucker is terrified.

Outboxing someone doesn’t require volume, but it does mean you actually have to take your feet into range at times to actually land punches, something which fighters fighting scared don’t do.

 

Regardless of what you think of Wilder nobody else Ortiz fought qualifies as a huge puncher

 

Beating two ranked opponents isn't much of a resume
Dubois already has a more impressive win resume in his 20s

Whyte and Parker get very little credit for beating Chisora so why is it suddenly supposed to be a big deal?

 

With how much wilder telegraphs and his generally low volume i don't think Tucker would be THAT gunshy.

 

Tucker had short arms/high shoulders. I don’t think he’d like dealing with Wilder at all.
