    You're not wrong, but four was more than enough already (three was, actually, before the upstart WBO shoehorned its way stubbornly into widespread acceptance on the strength of a couple of respected bearers' reputations) - the last thing we need is a fifth coming to prominence and diluting things even further.

    If they went back to one title per weight class, no opportunities would be created and the only fighters getting shots would be HBO and Showtime hype jobs,while the GGGs and Kovalevs of this world get stuck fighting on the domestic scene.

    Plus look at some of the lineal champs of recent years, such as Mayweather, Ward, Rigondeaux - they hardly ever fight and when they do, it's a bore fest.

    There are some positives to having more titles.

    Except that Wilder is head and shoulders above all those guys. Charr couldn't even beat Duhapaus.

    IBO is the most consistent outside the four

    Undisputed as of 2015 = WBC + WBA + WBO + IBF + IBO

    GGG 13-0 (KO 13) in IBO title defenses :deal

    Wlad did an IBO 18-0 record title defenses
    (Should get him inducted the IBOHOF)

    I am not sure how long the folks here been following the sport, but I remember in the olden days back in the 20th century. Derrick Gainer putting his life on the line defending the IBO belt, which influenced his favorite friend Roy Jones who had to wait a couple years till Drake vacated it & #1 P4P Roy Jones held it from their on

    WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (35-0, 34KOs) believes he is in the driver's seat when it comes to a unification with WBO/IBO/WBA/IBF champion Tyson Fury (25-0, 18KOs).

    Wilder views his WBC world title as being more meaningful than all four of Fury's titles combined.

    "My ultimate goal is to become the undisputed champion of the world. If [the belts] were still in the hands of Klitschko, that still would have been the plan. But now Fury has the belts so he's the target. He has the remainder of the belts I want to unify the division with," Wilder told BBC Sport Radio.

    "Of course I can sit back as the WBC heavyweight champion of the world, because the WBC belt is the most famous, most respected, most well known belt, the biggest crown in the sport of boxing. I can sit back with the WBC belt and then retire and say 'I had the belt that all the greats had.' My one belt overpowers all of the rest of the belts. I got the crown jewel."

    Good fight but if Wilder can't stay moving forward his terrible footwork when backing up will hurt him.
    I'll add that Wilder has a elite jab that we didn't know about until the Stiverne fight.
    Again his footwork is his Achilles IMO.

    Hughie Fury would school Wilder very badly trust me. Let alone Tyson.

    Give Hughie proper time to prepare get properly fit for a 12 round, and have the right fight plan. Hughie will give Wilder a boxing lesson from a to z.
