Tyson Fury 2(2)-0 6'7" 250ish [yt]gP9o_fplORo[/yt] Deontay Wilder 1(1)-0 6'7" 207 in his debut, but I suspect that he has bulked up some. [yt]e8mLG7ux6Uk[/yt] Of course both of them are untested, but who do you think would win between the two if they fought a 8 rounder. **Under "Fury Dec." should be "Fury TKO/KO"**
Wilder, I think. He is a lot more aggressive with his punches. Fury tends to leave his left hand low.
Way too early to tell but based on styles, I pick Wilder by UD. I think Fury can take some good shots but would be eating too many right hands as he leaves his left hand too low. Also, he wouldn't have a big advantage in height because Wilder is 6'7" and Fury is 6'8". If both fighters keep having success which I hope happens, this could be a big fight in a couple years.
At this stage Fury by K.O. He can wing in some serious shots, and has more experience than Wilder, who only had about 20 amateur fights if I recall and was stopped in the amateurs. Don't usually gauge future pro success by Amateur background as they are so different, but for a guy this green it's got to mean something. Fury has already faced someone with (admittedly paddded and short in stature compared to Fury) 20 K.O's and a winning record. No doubt he's ready for Wilder, although I'm not sure if he's ready for Fury. In two years time this could be a fight of prospects. In five years it could be a fight of champions.
I've only seen Wilder at the Olympics and he didn't impress. I think Fury would KO him if they met now but theres no "Fury KO" option.
Just realized I screwed up on the poll, sorry about that. Where it says "Wilder TKO/Ko" below Fury Dec. stands for "Fury TKO/KO". Wish I could edit it.
Well I clicked on th bottom option sensing your error, so just to clarify I think Fury by K.O. Shame the fight isn't on here. Whilst the opponent is barely European class, the array of shots Fury throws (and the speed at which they're delivered) is very impressive and I think the U.S fans would get a better idea at how exciting this prospect is. In the post-fight interview he is very humble, says something to the effect of 'this is me after five weeks with the right food and training, imagine me after five years'. He wants to be fighting for British honours within ten fights, I honestly think he could take the likes of Sprott and Audley tomorrow. John McDermott would give him a fairly decent test, but imagine, within a year this kid could be challenging Matt Skelton (abysmal, but a former WBA title challenger) for the European title. Within a few years this could could be in awesome shape. Needs bigger shoulders, however good your chin is strong neck/shoulder muscles help prevent the twisting of th head that causes a knockout, and needs to tone his waist. That is it. His arms may not look that defined but it doesn't seem to hamper his handspeed/power. He just needs to improve his general fitness as, when he's taken into the trenches he will need to retain vitality to implement his natural ability. Haven't seen enough of Wilder to comment on what he might have to do to get up on the ladder but he seems keen and looks to have a pro style. Good news for him.
Apparently no haters yet. The kid doesn't deserve them anyway, he seems like a good kid, he doesn't seem to want to duck anyone, he's got good skills and a desire to improve.
I hope Wilders is going to bulk up a bit, because it 6'7 206lbs you can't help but fear a kind of frail-ness, like Hearns etc. Or campaign at cruiserweight.
Fury is definitely the better long term prospect. He's only 20 and if they can avoid rushing him he could have a big future. Word is he's got a solid chin and still has a bit of filling out to do.
