Some truely delusional people here if you think wilder deserves anything near a 60/40 split.

70/30 would be very generous of Hearn.

A 50/50 split is out of the question. Wilder doesn't bring enough to the table to get it. A fair split should be 70/30 or 60/40 in favour of Joshua.

You must tell me which parts triggered you so bad so I can remember for next time..

This fight isn't happening ever until Wilder realises he is the F side and again either falls in line with Eddie Hearn's plan or fights for peanuts..

Unless Wilder does what he is told he ain't getting the golden ticket..

This isn't even comparable to GGG/Canelo... GGG had the belts and Canelo had the fan base/drawing power.

Here Joshua has both, he is rated no1, he is unified champion and brings the fans.

50/50 split is out of the question, Wilder simply doesn't bring enough to the table to warrant anything close to that. If Wilder sticks to anything even remotely close to that it's a clear duck by pricing himself out of the fight.

In reality Wilder's last fight generated 1/20th of Joshua's next fight. They are on a completely different planet in regards to finances.

If Wilder could generate some US interest and bring in US ppv then he'd deserve a good split as there would be the potential for greater revenue for a unification fight. But Wilder simply isn't a draw it would be a huge risk for any network to make Joshua/Wilder PPV in the US as both are an unknown quantity in the PPV market there.

Look at how Kovalev/Ward flopped. Canelo was a proven draw in the US, GGG had one PPV that had modest sales and turned a profit, while both Joshua and Wilder have nothing to suggest they can sell a PPV in the US. There will be very little income from the US for Joshua/Wilder and so the potential from income growth is limited.

Fact is 90% or more of the financing for this fight at the moment will come from the UK market, which is why Hearn wants to grow Wilders profile by matching him with Whyte. Problem they have is Joshua has already saturated the market. He's generating $25 mill in purses for his next fight while his unification with Wlad generated $30 mill. That means there's only an extra $5 mill for facing another title holder. So if that title holder wants more than $10 mill, Joshua will need to take a pay cut or the fight will lose money.

So as you can see Wilder asking for 50/50 is totally unfeasible. A 70/30 split would be more than fair when all Wilder brings is a belt. It's pretty clear why Hearn is favouring Parker next for a unification fight, Parker will be more reasonable and they can negotiate a fight using realistic figures.

Cant blame a man for starting big when it comes to demands, they will get negotiated down. But Deontay needs to realise he is guna be sitting down to negotiate with a real poor hand. He may have a belt but Joshua has more, he may have 9 fans, Joshua has more, alot more. Joshua is the GGG of the heavyweights, he is the king right now, But Wilder aint no Canelo, Joshua is, he has all the fans and brings all the money. Deontay isnt bringing jack **** to this negotiation.

But only yesterday i listened to a radio interview with Joshua where he was open to facing Deontay in America as he wants to fight over the water as all major fighters would want to do at some point. As a Boxing fan and as a Joshua fan i would love to see him go over there and fight at MSG or one of the big Vegs venues.

Make AJ an offer then. Oh wait they can't as the money isn't there.

This fight happens in London and only when Hearn and Joshua say so.

Wilder needs to fight Whyte. The sooner he realizes he isn't calling the shots the better.

Screw Wilder, no matter how much I want him to fight Joshua (or anyone with a pulse) so we can get rid of the fraud, he doesn't deserve close to 50/50 let him fight bums. Don't give him 50/50 or home advantage imo.

I can understand it being in the U.S, but I'm sorry 50/50 isn't right. 60/40 to Joshua may be acceptable I suppose.

    Good post.
Tbh I get the impression Wilder knows he is being unreasonable but is simply pricing himself out of the fight. For now, at least. A huge payday against Joshua is difficult to turn down.

The body builder Joshua needs to get his bags packed, go over to Alabama, beg Deontay and the bomb squad a shot at the WBC''s most prestigious title belt. I'm thinking a 10/90 split for the devastating bronze bomber would be acceptable. Anthony better prepared for the stringent drug testing policies of USADA too.

Its true that first Wilder needs to step up and fight a top 20 contender before he is worthy of fighting the man at HW.

Unless Wilder does what he is told like a good boy, then he will *NOT" be getting a big pay day against AJ.

He is also never going to get a 50-50 split. He does not merit that. He is maybe worth 30%.

So come on Wilder- you need to step up. Otherwise you are not even worthy of being ICED by AJ.

AJ will ICE you in 3 rounds, the least you can do is fight a real fight to qualify for it

I knew the second the Ortiz fight was cancelled that Wilder would flip and talk about Joshua every day.

If I was Hearn / Joshua, I would put the WBC as last priority. Go for mandatories then WBO then Fury if he's back.

They can catch up with Wilder in 2019, and if at least two independent doctors can confirm Wilder's mental health is at a satisfactory level, then they can open serious talks.
