No way he makes 245lbs. He got to 230lbs before he started VADA, whether or not that was natural we will never know but to think he can just add 30lbs of muscle is one of the more ludicrous things he's said. If he truly believes what he's saying he's either a bigger moron than I thought or he's openly saying he plans to use PED's in a round about way.

If Wilder comes in at 245 he best catch Fury before mid-fight., otherwise his movement will be even more limited.

Wilders inability to fight on the inside was exposed especially every time Fury clinched him

Absolutly spot on impossible for some one who Iam going to assume is a hard gainer, especially who dosent blow up between camps and has a pretty natural weight, even if he sat on the sofa for 6 months I doubt he would put on 35lb.
Also I think it’s bs he has no intention of trying to do that he and his team surely know that’s impossible, they just trying to stay in the limelight and create another debate....should he put on extra weight? Would he be as effective? Would his power increase?... it’s actually impossible for him to do, in my opinion.

If his team have anything about them and want to seriously be competitive in the rematch, if they aren’t teaching him the importance of working the body, slipping the jab and hooking the body on the break they got no hope.

It’s insane that he didn’t prepare to work the body of someone who’s liver and kideys must be the size of an aquabag after the way fury abused his body.
Iam going on pure memory here( been trying to find a fight replay) but he barely even tried for the body in the early rounds/any round.
4/5 clean body shots in the opening 4/5 rounds from wilder and that fight looks a lot different, imo and btw I couldn’t be less of a wilder fan.

He could at least have pointed out that he's part of a team.

Wilders going to have an excuse either way , I told the forum he was going to use weight as the excuse and that's what he did. I specifically said Wilder wouldn't win weighing around 210 and had Fury 70% chance of winning up from a pickem fight .

Wilder shouldn't weigh below 220 the very least, this should be common sense for obvious reasons , the biggest is he's 6'7 and fighting a guy who is bigger and isn't slow.

Wilders weight should be 228 against Fury...but what do I know ? The brainiac mod @CST80 would have You believe that the bell didn't save Wilder against Ortiz and thought Wilder brutally K.O Fury , apparently I'm the kook around here though! :bananaride

Weight was not really the issue. It's his lack of versatility and skill and weighing 245 lbs is not going to make up for it.

I remember Hearns saying when he went up to fight Andries he will miss all that food. So that shows he was not a natural light heavyweight to train and get down to the weight, regardless of people saying he walked around 180.. Wilder has to add another meal to his day. Something like pancakes with a lot of syrup etc. He will go up in weight. 245 is too much. He doesn't move much but he will be tired and wear out. Like someone else said 225 or 230 is better. I don't think that would have helped him in the fight. He lands clean he will hurt Fury or anyone. He needs to be lighter to be faster.

He had a dumb game plan the first fight, this would be talking it to the extreme. If they think weight was the issue they really are deluded, that was the least of thier problems. How about teach Deontay to box?

To be fair, trying to pack on 30lbs of lean muscle mass PED free in a couple of months would be an easier task than teaching Wilder the rudiments of boxing craft.

I just don't understand why, or how, he got that low in these two fights to begin with. In the Ortiz fight he said he was ill beforehand, which I bought at the time considering it seemed like a one off thing, but now weighing even less against Fury makes me suspicious that something else is going on behind the scenes.

If the loss in weight isn't deliberate then Wilder's team need to address that ASAP, and any talk of bulking up needs to be thrown out as the garbage grandstanding that it is. If the low weight was a deliberate tactic, or a result of increased intensity of training, then Wilder can't use it as an excuse for why he lost the fight, any more than a fighter can blame being overweight or undertrained for a loss.

You dont gain 30lbs of muscle in such a short space of time unless you get on the Juice
