How do you know Povetkin had traces of Meldonium left in his system from the past and how did he pass 3 tests in April?
Povetkin had traces of meldoniun in his system the ban only came in jan so and it has been proven that meldonium can stay in the system for many months
It depends on the sensitivity and consistency of the testing methods. When dealing with such minute amounts your methods have to be spot-on each time. I very much suspect VADA is re-testing those earlier samples yet again to see if something wasn't overlooked. To put things in perspective, the amount detected was well under the "fail" limit of 1 mg as per WADA.
We know about the trace amounts. That's after the fact. But, how did those trace amounts enter his body AFTER he passed 3 tests in April?
How did he pass 3 tests in April without Meldonium being found? It was a week before the fight lol. You think that he thought that testing was over and tried to cheat?
OK for the last time: It could be that the three passed tests were less sensitive than the April test. 70ng is vanishingly small. I have no doubt that VADA is retesting the earlier samples as we speak. If they still find nothing, then I am guessing they will be testing for a masking agent in the April sample, or all of them.
