Can't really blame wilder here. 80% of blame goes to Povetkin, 20% to WBC/VADA for being slow and unable to give a quick ruling.

Wilder did what he had to do and he was basically left between a rock and hard place. I just hope the WBC will enforce the mandatory within 6 months or so.

These white sheet wearing povetkin fans are hilarious. Blaming wilder when their man tested positive thus ruining the fight. I mean you can't make this type of stuff up this is how irrational their logic and hate is. Not only that the whole country of Russia is suspect when it comes to doping the they most likely will be banned from the Olympics because of it. Any fighter from Russia is suspect as far as I'm concerned.

I really wanted to see this fight, it's obviously one of the best matches that can be made at the HW division. But Povetkin was on a banned substance and Wilder is well within his right to refuse fighting him. Who knows when Povetkin last used that substance. It's not impossible to believe that he was using it for training in this fight, regardless of what he/his team have been saying to the media.

This isn't tennis, soccer or football. This is boxing and there should be serious ramifications for anyone testing positive on PED's. When Povetkin and his team received notice about Meldonium being a banned substance, it was up to him to do his due diligence and ensure it was out of his system before signing up for a fight. He can say it was from usage from 9 months ago, but all that would mean was he had ample time to get his urine checked independently and get confirmation that it was out of his system before singing the dotted line for this fight. He's completely to blame here and really doesn't have a leg to stand on in this situation.

I agree. However I'm not even sure Meldonium should be banned.

Wilder knows his hype could potentially crash and burn so taking the fight at a latter date is the smart thing to do.

If trace elements are found then why do the drug testers even have to announce it ?

You stop with blaming the victim here. If you're going to be mad at anyone it should be povetkin he failed his test wilder passed his.

In fear for Deonkey if he ever gets in a ring with a non cherry pick, or Dustin Nichols.

Wilder is a coward. There were trace amounts of a substance banned a few months ago, that was not even a steroid. If there are questions, then delay the fight. Fair enough.

He has announced that he will not fight at all because he is a *****. We all knew it and now he is going to throw his belt in the trash and fight some brick layer for IBU belt or something.

He is a big ****** and so are all of this fans.

The only ****boi here is you. Povetkin is a cheating dirty pos. He was cheating against Perez to a blind man could see it. Russia has a big problem with cheats it's part of their sporting culture the government is behind it. Wilder didn't fight the cheat and I'm glad he didn't give him an opportunity. I hope povetkin is banned from the sport he had to cheat because he knew he was going to get koed he was scared. **** povetkin and his white sheet wearing fans.

    Derrick Rossy knocked down Stiverne
Deonkey couldn't even floor a very ill Stiverne.
Why are you such a fan boy of Deonkey? No one likes him for obvious reasons-- he's a fraud

Wilder did his burger shuffle dance as he was boarding the flight to Alabama.
Why is he afraid of 70 nano-grams of meldonium?:patsch
