PBS sports analysts discussing ildder`s claim that his leg was hurt by the 5th round, for me the fight was more or less over by the 5th anyway, should these two have a rubber match and is it a fight that the public want?

I think wilder will exercise his rematch clause no matter what the public wants

It won't be an immediate rematch but they will fight again. Too much money for it not to happen.

I hope not. I'm worried about Wilder's health as it is. It would have been better for him if he'd gotten knocked out early.

As it is, the fact that he has a pretty good HW chin worked against him. He ate a lot of leather.

I think it'll be a very difficult ppv to sell

I would rather unification with Joshua

Deontay Wilder Ego-Legacy is more important than what couple of million UK peasants want, its natural that someone as Grandiose as Deontay Wilder dictates how millions of peasants "feel". The Gypsy King also is not going to give-up his Green belt....Just to make the Danish Queen native subjects "feel" better

Wilder fighting the winner of that one would sell far better.

Couple things. I'd like to see Wilder fight Ruiz. Both are on the comeback trail.

It's being reported Wilder did not have a broken eardrum, just a cut on or in his ear. His jaw was not broken, just bruised.

He seemed to tire fast though. I guess that can happen when a motivated 270lbs guy is leaning on you and hitting you with shots.

I don't like the immediate rematch thing. It's not like Fury beat him with a lucky punch.

Let Wilder fight Ruiz next with the winner to get a shot at Fury or better yet the winner of Fury-Joshua.

Both Wilder and Ruiz have something to prove now.

The sooner the rematch, the tougher it will be for Wilder.

He'd be wiser to have the rematch this time next year, and have a couple of warm-up fights in between, maybe against Charles Martin and someone else on that level.

Deontay Wilder ego-legacy comes first, his only interest is shutting down Tyson Fury CNS in the rubber-match.

Rest assured, Deontay Wilder will not rest until he beats Tyson Fury. He already done everything else, won the belt, equaled Muhammad Ali title defenses, acclaimed as the greatest puncher to walk Earth, now Tyson Fury is his sole person in the way of him being the GOAT.

if Wilder’s team doesn’t believe in him, they will take the immediate rematch for the cash out. Which would be pretty shameful for a guy they propped up to get to 10 belt defenses. Fighting guys like Molina, Duhaupas, Szpilka, Washington, to get there. It means now that the gravy train has ended they don’t believe Wilder can beat 1-2 average contenders to get back to the rematch.
There is no way the 3rd fight should happen next. This bout wasn’t really competitive (although Wilder looked the best I’ve seen him so far) he took a dominant beaten. After the first fight in which it was close to universal that fury was robbed. So many people will feel like why is Wilder getting Yet another crack at the lineal title. It feels like wow every time he beaten decisively he gets awarded a “do over”
It’s not good for him, his health, or the sport for him to get an immediate rematch. The fan and the fighter will lose. Only ppl looking to make a quick buck and cash wilder’s career out will want it to happen.
