Who said WBC belt is worth well....anything?

A champ makes the belt and organization enforcing its rules and regulations makes the belt too, when BOTH fail to do their job the belt is meaningless...see Cotto situation as well.

I'm voting for two title defenses, as I suspect he will fight a softer touch before facing Povetkin in a mandatory. I'd pick Povetkin to knock Wilder out in 2015, but Povetkin is older now and has the style that declines the fastest with age. If Wilder makes Povetkin wait until 2017, who knows!

I could see Glazkov being his first title defense.

    WBC rankings:

1 .- Alexander Povetkin (Russia) SILVER
    2 .- Mike Perez (Cuba/Ireland)
    3 .- Tyson Fury (GB) EBU/BBBC
    4 .- Vyacheslav Glazkov (Ukraine)
    5 .- Bermane Stiverne (Haiti/Canada)
    6 .- Lucas Browne (Australia)
7 .- Anthony Joshua (GB) INTL
8 .- Andy Ruiz (Mexico) NABF
    9 .- Manuel Charr (Lebanon/Syria) BALTIC
10 .- Tony Thompson (US) AMERICA
    11 .- Artur Szpilka (Poland)
    12 .- Eric Molina (US)
    13 .- Chris Arreola (US)
    14 .- Carlos Takam (Cameroon)
    15 .- Mark De Mori (Australia/Croatia)

I don't think he has to face Wlad. But defend against 2 top 5s and I'm good.

Beat his mandatory Povetkin and I concider him a worthy beltholder. The option also has Wlad in it, but that's the dominant champ and much too big an ask for a guy like Wilder.

he needs to beat Wlad, who is the one and only HW champion, the only one that matters

Wilder's trinket is as meaningless as Povetkin's was because unlike other divisions, we know without a doubt who is THE man here

    Already worthy.

He would crush Povetkin and Pulev.

Glazkov has no reason to fight him. He's already a mandatory to Wlad and has about 2mil waiting for him, which is more than Wilder himself has ever earned so far. You can expect Glazkov taking soft touches until the IBF enforces the Klitschko fight.

When he defends his belt 2 times against decent opposition (e.g. Chisora, Perez, Thompson).

If he was worthy he wouldn't have said "we're not ready" for Povetkin despite being a champion. Fact is, all these guys aren't championship material. Stiverne, Arreola(as much as I love him), Wilder, Fury, Price, Thompson, Chisora, Pulev, Jennings, Perez...etc, these guys are journeyman quality at best. The division is so bad however, they appear to be title match material. In a real era, these guys wouldn't even break top 15 in the rankings.

Thompson, despite being ancient, is a decent defense judging by how terrible the division is. But Perez and Chisora?, hell no.
