Wladimir Klitschko has said he will retire from pro boxing in a couple of years, and then hopefully participate in the 2016 Olympics.

There are quite a few good up-and-coming heavyweights like Jennings, Abdusalamov, Hughie and Tyson Fury, Dinu, Glazkov, etc.

But there's only ONE heavyweight who is a really special talent, and that's Deontay Wilder.

Deontay reminds me of a young George Foreman. He'll beat any of the other heavyweight contenders much the same way as Big George went through his opponents before Ali. And since there is no one like Ali nowadays, Wilder will be an unstoppable force in the heavyweight division.

When Wladimir is gone, Wilder will rule the heavyweight division.

Deontay fights nothing like a young george, he doesn't have his power, nor most importantly his chin.

Would be interesting though to see him used that crossed arm defense to protect his chin.

I hate the fact that most the heavyweights are older these days, there's no 21 year old Heavyweight schooling an ex-champion.

WHo has Wilder beat??? He has power but what happens when someone can hit him back. His chin is ****. He is the Black version of Price. WHen he steps up we will see the same result.

IMO, would be great if he rips it off the champion rather than pick up the pieces afterward.

One reason why the Klits are not as revered as they should be (well they should be) is that none of them has an official win over Lennox.

People were excited when Wlad was the heir apparent and he was actually exciting and willing to make a fight. A great deal more exciting than boring ass Lennox. That people even talk about about Lennox positively shows you have terrible the tag team reign of the Klits actually is. When Lennox was fighting he was arguably said to have killed the HW division.

No, I think he'd KO either.

Wlad or Haye would be the only ones who might beat him.

Wilder-Price: First right hand that lands wins.

The over/under might only be 2 rounds.

Wilder is just another Jo-el Scott in the making (1990s heavyweight all k.o's) who got exposed once he took a step up in comp.

IOW the HW champ has to be an American - especially of a certain type - for it to be "exciting" to you.

    Yeah, we get it :-(
