If existed a HOF for half fighters he'd be the undisputed number one.

He was a long reigning champion with legendary knockout power. He is HOF worthy imo.

I agree with the first three, but 531 weeks on the TOP 10 HW list is a double-edged sword, as it also becomes who didn't he face during that time.

    I suppose.

HW boxing was so far down the gutter, Charles Martin and Bermane Stiverne as title holders. People love to talk **** about the 80s but the alphabet Champs of that era were world class boxers technically, fantastically talented despite their inconsistency and personal problems.

If Mike Tyson took on Arreola, a Stiverne rematch, Breazale, Gerald Washington and Duhaupas as Title defenses in his prime he would have been ridiculed to oblivion.

A bunch of obese unskilled plodders, for somebody who knows the history of the HW championship....it is truly sickening.

    I hear you .

But its not fully fair since he just fought the guys who were contenders at the moment of the fights .
Of course wilder cherry picked where he was able to . But what fighter did not and you cannot ONLY cherrypick during 10 title defences and 47 fights .

You can also say wlads and vitalis career was full of cherrypicked bums except some good fighters who they lost too .

I agree i might not be fully objective since i,m a wilder and ngannou fan ;-)

    This is an amazing comment.

When Parker beat Wilder it was, "oh, well Wilder was 38 years old and over the hill" so it doesnt count.

But Wilder had that AMAZING win over Ortiz...who was also 38 years old.

The hypocrisy of PBC fans is something to marvel at

No, Deontay should not get in but they let Gatti in so its just as much about popularity as it is ability and Wilder clearly has a lot of fools...errr fans

And the typical PBC shill response is...whatever this is. A poor attempt at deflection.

He'll get in due to the Murican bias at the IBHOF.

His best win is against 39 years old Ortiz.
Literally AJ 3 or 4th base win, depends how you see it school Wilder 12-0. Same Parker that was absolutely butchered 1 year ago by Joe Joyce.
This is boxing and triangle theory don't work, but Wilder was never any good to begin with. Ducking everyone in his career, and then his fans start claiming he is shot, when he was always like that.

He made a career, thanks to being protected and was managed well. The moment he fought decent fighters, he get beat TWICE, and then schooled by Parker.

It's funny how people forget that just like few weeks ago he ducked Zhang and his ticket to get back in the mix. This just sums this guy entire career.
He is a hall of famer for a manufactured champion, nothing else.

    Good video as always Rummy

Wilder was a can crusher but you hit on the head: hardcore boxing fans have higher standards than the actual IBHOF.

I would be shocked if Wilder doesn't get in with 10 consecutive WBC title defenses (even if most of those were mismatches).

Wow, he doesn't deserve to be hunh. Fighters with less accomplishments have gotten in
