refreshing to see you post like this rather than the 'lmao' response. respect. absolutely there is no one unanimous HW champ until it's proven against the other titlists, i'm just saying that Joshua is the man with the target on his back/in the best position by virtue of stepping up and fighting wlad
but doesn't the fact that stiverne was 2 years inactive and grossly out of shape cheapen the win for you?
Duhaupas, a man Manuel Charr handily defeated but was robbed on the scorecards, is probably his best win. I seriously have to question how good Stiverne ever was considering his only wins of note came over Arreola and Ray Austin. He's still the most accomplished opponent he ever fought, but that really isn't something to brag about TBH.
Stiverne in the first fight was arguably his best win, though it's a bit of a grey area as he was ill and we don't know how good he really was at that stage as in his next performance he was dropped and almost beaten by a guy a shot Audley Harrison KO'ed in 2 rounds. This actually could be one of his worst wins if Stiverne was as bad as we suspect. Duhaupas then is logically Wilder's next best win, he beat Helenius, had beaten Charr and has only lost to Povetkin since. Szplika is the best pure boxer Wilder has faced but lack of size, power and chin will always be Szpilka's undoing we saw that vs Kownacki. Washington has since lost to Miller and got lucky vs Mansour, the Wilder performance clearly flattered his true ability. Maybe you could rank Washington above Szpilka it's pretty close to be fair. Molina was never anything more than a journeymen. Blown away by Joshua since, was being out boxed but got lucky vs a shot Adamek is his claim to fame other than rocking Wilder. The loss to Breazeale as well showed he simply isn't world class. Arreola may have beaten Molina but at this stage he was shot, he'd lose to Molina now. Stiverne rematch was horrible. Wilder did his job and looked impressive but Stiverne is shot and put up by far the worst performance we have seen in a world title challenge in a very long time.
Yeah I guess so, but the question that was asked of me was what I thought was Deontays best win. Wilder struggled with Szpilka, Molina and Duhaupa. The Stiverne win and how he won was so good. He didnt get touched and he made himself look so dominant. Like I said, for me, that was the best win. I cant argue with anyone elses best win because I like theirs as well and their reasons. Trust me, Im not dumb enough to ask someone for their opinion and be surprised that its so different to mine lol. How about you? Whats yours?
The victory over Charr isn't anything to brag about considering a very strong case could have been made for Charr winning.
Really, didn't see that fight. If that's the case then there really isn't much separating Duhaupas, Szpilka and Washington. Any of them along with the first Stiverne win could be his best win, which is quite damning.
Wow I’m surprised fans of Wilder even dare bring up Stivernes name to be honest as doesn’t this just show how protected he’s been over the years,Stiverne is,was an awful boxer and even in that first fight was still a punch bag for Wilder. Here’s a question for Wilder fans,if 2017 has taught us anything it’s that it’s not about titles but rather having two well matched guys in a 50/50 fight so my question to everyone is to think very hard re has Wilder ever been a fight where’s he’s not been 80/20 favourite to win, never mind 50/50 infact I’d say most of Wilders fights have been closer to 90/10 in his favour such was the quality and ranking of his opponents?
The first Stiverne fight. That's kinda sad too but it showed he can move for 12 rounds and maintain speed and power.
Joshua would be his best win but like Tyson Fury said, Jishuas stiff ass doesn't want to take the risk.
