With the constant threads plagued with negativity aimed at Deontay's career, people need to step back and look at the wider picture.

So chase the bigger fights for bigger money.

An American heavy who looks the part and KO's people is a licence to print money.

Very sad, he is developing and yes fighting bums, but when fat boy Arreola(much more experienced) fight bums everyone is like when will he get another tittle shot.
Best of luck to Deontays daughter!!!

Man, I watched Arreola fight some of the worst bums in the business.

I remember the night of Williams-Margarito when Arreola fought a dude so bad, I seriously think I could have done as well. Then on the night of the PW-QuintanaI fight in Temeculah, he fought a dude so bad, I saw the ni99a at the club later and was thinking... this dude so wack I might punch his lights out right here.

Then I look up, and Cristobal is fighting Klit... :huh

Arreola's is my boy, but it's astounding how he got a free pass for the bums he fought, yet Wilder is being criticized. Not like Deontay is out there bragging about being the best...

Wilder should fight Arreola, I think he would knock the fat boy out.

Indeed, all the more reason to get into real (bigpaying) fights fast.

And the Arreola comparison is flawed. Sure Arreola beats up the occasional bum, but at 21 fights Chris had a much better resume as Wilder at this point, who fought nothing but bums.

Good post. Arreola's best win was by faaaarrrrrrr a 38 y/o jameel McCline. He came right off that fight to the title I beleive. With no other Blevel wins to his credit. The closest he's come since has been a steady diet of C level guys like Quezada and Molina. Guys themselves who are on that same level off opposition. Only losing to guys like Arreola.
Deontay is a level below the Arreola right now, but what is he, 25/26? Give the kid some time right. His win over Alexander is as good as a win over Molina or Butler. I mean.....they're simlar level oppositon. I would like to see him stay in that level instead of backwards, but for the money, why not a few more here and there?:think

    Damn sorry...

I understand Wilder is making easy money fighting these bums and doing it just to get safe money for the daughter.

Can they heal his daughter spinal at future?

edit. I am interested because I would really want to see Wilder getting 100% into Boxing and show what he has got.:good

In fairness though, it was the lesser title(perhaps the lesser brother:think) that Arreola got his shot at...And I think it had more to do with the fact that Vitali was just getting into his comeback than Arreola's significance

Wish him and his daughter the very best.

Seems like a genuinely nice guy who just wants to take care of his family. Who can hate on that?

Boxing is unforgiving, and fans are too, unfortunately... there's a decent quote from Andre Ward, which I like: "I owe more to my family than I do to the sport".

He should continue to build on his résumé, rather than rushing things and risking it all, taking into consideration his only motivation being the money and not greatness.

So he is just doing this for safe money ?
I guess there is nothing wrong with that.
