There is no justification. If he desperately needs money he would be fighting jokes like his current competition once a month and pushing for a fringe contender that could catapult him into the big money fights if he impressively beat him. He is an American Olympic medalist and he has KOed every one of these bums he has faced, so it isn't like he couldn't make himself a **** ton of money with the right fights.

No, it is not a money/family issue that is holding him back. It is the fact that his Chin is absolute garbage and he and his management are well aware of this Fact. They are going to have him slaughtering bums for a year or so until they have padded his record to an absurd 40-0 (40 KOs), put him in with the worst trinket belt holder they can find and use that as a cash out, or in the unlikely event that he wins, use it as a launching pad for a real HW title fight in which case he will be brutally and embarrassingly KOed in the ultimate cash out that Boxing has ever seen. Wilder is an absolute joke and I am predicting now that his Chin will be ranked among the worst in the history of the sport.

  2. This guy can very well be something. He has one of the best right hands around. He's an incredibly nice person too if you've seen him in interviews. He needs to get a good win like a Timur Ibragimov type win on his record.

And where is your proof of this? Any halfway decent fighter should be able to spark out a drunk pulled off of a barstool in a random Alabama honky tonk. In many cases, Wilder is the twentieth guy to knock the bum out. I have not seen his fight from last night, but Hayes is a fat, out-of-shape 5'9" natural MW who has been brutally KOed five times already and Wilder could not even drop him. Best right hand around, my ass. Wilder is a joke and a fraud.

I understand, maybe, why he is not stepping up yet. Or at least the mindset of why he wants to take it slow. He works all the time and after work goes to the gym. So thus he doesnt have time for really good prep if he had a good opponent. For example, having Timur Ibragimov as an opponent will take more prep surely than Marlon Hayes. This other job he has is a sure thing. So taking time off for a good camp or more time in the gym is tough to do. He cant risk this sure thing. So he fights corpses as it doesnt take that much prep. It might also explain why he doesnt gain weight? He works 11 hour days and then goes to the gym. He must burn calories like crazy and can never gain more muscle to fill out his frame.

I agree with you on his fighting schedule

If he is worried about money and only can fight scrubs he needs to fight like every month. I agree with you. Fighting once every four months against nobodies is not bringing much money in for ya.

I would suggest to him to more seriously seek out a boxing career. Fights against better opponents will bring about better money. Then maybe a title shot. He could make the money in a title shot that would take 20 years at his other job.

That's a qoute from deontay, though I think the situation with his daughter is incredibly sad and I have no doubt he is boxing to help pay for medical bills, he has made it obvious that he wants to be a champion as well, and that is why people criticize him

No justification because Wilder is in the fight business to make money to help care for his daughter, he is not picking softer opponants than a world champion should so he can make more money to help care for his daughter. That is not his justification it is yours.

It is his managment team pretty much doing what Canelo's managment team are doing. They are keeping their fighter away from the more dangerous opposition as they do not wish for them to lose as they fear this would make them money in the long run.

38 have stepped up and 38 have been turned away. No blueprint. Future hall of famer. There is nothing to justify.
