this is classic "Greer, of St. Louis, Missouri is 15-8 (13ko) and coming off a win in his previous bout" they dont tell you his "win" was a DQ win in round 1 after he was flattened and subsequently hit while he was down. other than that "win" he has had a win in 10 years. thats the caliber of opponent Greer seems to be able to beat
but dont forget to "tune in" to Televista or Fox Espanol "No word on whether the Wilder bout will be part of the telecast" yeah i mean why would you not be sure to show the only u.s. Olympian to medal who now has a pro record of 26-0 (26 kos) you cant make this stuff up
atsch How can you defend this? Greer is no better than the other 26 bums hes knocked out and you know it.
To think people slate Tyson Fury for fighting the likes of Rogan, Maddalone and Kevin Johnson. **** as those guys are, they look like the second coming of Ali in comparison to the stiffs Wilder's been knocking over.
Seriously hope Fury or Price get a chance to fight him, they'd batter him from pillar to post ... Price probably knocks him out in the first couple of rounds,Fury would punish him for about 4 or 5 then go for the KO.
Perez is coming off a looooooong layoff, as was Boystov..... And Perez also has just 16 fights, not 26.:-(
Tyler, You really need to stop shoving all those gerbils up your butt. It's making you angry. And delusional.
Fight was made on less than 10 days notice without a big budget -- a keep-busy fight filling out a card late in the process. Wilder just KO'd a top-100 world opponent in Price, this is just a way for Wilder to stay active while waiting to see when Showtime wants him back on TV. Fight was shopped to a few trial horses and they all turned it down wanting more time and money. Better to take this fight and stay sharp than sit and wait for 3-6 months.
This has been done to death. Wilder had **** all of a amateur career having only something close to 44 matches. And you mentioning that America is the mecca of boxing makes little sense as has little to do with one individual fighter's skill level at that place in their career.
:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl "garbage tier" 13 kos in 15 wins? :rofl that means **** when these are the guys you KO'd 2002-11-20 DeShawn Hamuud 0-1-0 2003-01-27 Rodney Bostick 1-2-0 2003-04-02 Monico Nieto 1-0-0 2005-05-26 William Ferguson 0-1-0 2005-08-26 William Cook 8-4-0 2005-11-02 John Rudolph debut 2006-08-18 Mike Reiter 0-1-0 2006-09-16 Andre McDaniel debut 2007-02-03 Vance Winn 6-20-2 2007-11-23 Jim Franklin 8-9-2 2008-01-18 Kerry Biles 9-13-2 2010-12-11 Eric Crittendon 2-10-0 2011-04-29 Marcus Rhode 34-41-2 1 word "EMBARRASSING"
yeah Golden Boy has no budget, they are dirt poor right? WOW, wilder just KO'd a top 100 guy? amazing.
atsch You're the one who's delusional and you embarrassed yourself here, as you could notice, you're the only who defends this garbage fight. Now, you talked about 13 Ko's in 15 fight, bu only 2 of these 13 guys he KOed had ****ing winning records. atsch Seriously, don't even come back in this thread and if you do, do't answer me cause you have been owned big time and exposed as the fanboy you are. Bye. :thumbsup
Mathew Greer is an ideal oppoent for an up and coming heavyweight. He's been in with some good heavyweights. He's not a world beater by any ,eans, but he is experanced. Deontay Wilder is not going to get a shot at the heavyweight championship till 2015. Even if he deserves one before than.
