That's Kelvin Price, Wilder's next opponent, beating Tor Hamer with a slick, RJJ-ish style (also flooring Hamer in rd 2) and according to

Roy Jones Sr. is actually his trainer. Wilder is ****ed.

Is Jones dad beating him when he does something wrong?
And training him 12 hours a day like he did to is own son.
.....to be fair,it did work wonders

Price is indeed pretty slick, but that won't help him against Wilder.

Notice how Price likes to hold his left hand down by his Knee? Not just in this fight, he does it all the time.

Now quick: Who has the most powerful right hand in the game today, and likes to throw it from way outside via his 84" reach? Yep. It's also one of the fastest rights in the game today. RJJ got away with that style because he was lightning fast and incredibly smart. I don't think Price quite has those same gifts.

But I can see how Price will make it an interesting fight & a great challenge for Wilder, since he has the ability to keep away, if he so chooses. He could theoretically win on points, if he dances all night & throws from angles. However, if Price actually tries to land a bomb on Wilder, he's roadkill.

Well, he's fighting a top 100 heavy for a change so I suspect yeah, slight step up.

He looks like prime RJJ only as a HW.

    Look out Klits!

Price beat Hamer, who is a legitimate prospect in his own right. Huge step up for Wilder, considering. Two prospects going into the crucible here.

Tor Hammer is pretty good and Price beat him, many consider Tor to be among the best Amercian HW's. I consider this to be a good step up and test for Wilder.

That was barely a knockdown anyway! It was a glorified flash KD. Please.

This is Wilder's 26th fight. Quarry's 27th fight was Joe Frazier. Frazier's 23rd fight was Bonavena. I sure miss the days when HW was still the flagship division.

I agree it was a bit of a fluke knockdown.
