http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=70734&cat=boxer One fight since 2004 - a loss to a 10-16-1 guy. How anyone can call Wilder a prospect is beyond me.
Disgraceful But dont worry after that he's stepping it up to fight Owen Beck who's lost his last 5 on the trot
Almost any decent heavyweight would put guys like this away in a couple of rounds... it's record padding, nothing more.
Beyond a joke. Former Olympian, 3 1/2 year pro and still at F level competition. Golden Boy probably isn't even trying to move Wilder's career.
I was ready for some craziness opening this thread and it didn't dissapoint. How can a bronze medal olympian get up for competition like this?? There treating him like a low level fighter who fights to get by, not too go up the ranks. Its so stupid.
What. The. ****. I hate wilder, mainly because people act like he's some kind of top prospect and that this kind of competition is ok because he started boxing late. His career has been an utter disgrace and he is an absolute conman. What the **** is the point of fighting someone you could ktfo in your debut? An absolute joke to fight this guy after like 22 fights. What are you supposed to learn from this? What is the point? Can't wait to see him ko'd, then at least people can stop pretending he's a real fighter.
Why are people so mad about his level of opposition? His handlers obviously don't think he's ready for any real competition. Do people just want to see him get exposed? He doesn't have a belt, and he's not taking up any slots on any premium cable networks. He's a guy learning his craft by fighting as often as he can. I don't see what the problem is.
tommy morrison and tyson started off like this....but they had 20 fights of this level in the first year...not spread over 4 years
deontay wilder's handlers are doing him a disservice, or they're hiding a serious flaw, one of the mandibular type. david price looks leagues ahead of wilder.
