Deontay Wilder's PPV does very poor numbers

Ortiz didnt fight any final eliminators and he has been done for peds to, so whats your point? You are trash poster... soon to be universally accepted.

Just seen a YouTube vid that stated he had 175k
Not too good, but then again.. for a bad undercard and a main event that no one asked for... that's not the worst

 

8 days now and no press release about the PPV numbers. They must be horrific otherwise they would have already published them.

 

What would you consider horrific?

 

Klitschko - Williams (two foreigners) did 100k PPV and until now is considered one of the worst HW PPV results in history.

If Wilder vs. Ortiz didn't do twice than that - considering Wilder has 10 title fights! - then it must be called a major disaster.

 

Fair enough. So 200k is the minimum bar to be considered passable?

 

And at 75 bucks a pop, that´s some decent money.
13mil in PPV revenue, live gate, foreign rights, sponsorships plus other revenue sources and voila! They might have made a small profit.
Wilder was guaranteed 3 mil and Ortiz 1.5. 175k buys covers that and leaves room for change and PPV bonuses.
But then there is LSC who was guaranteed 2 mil.

A major disaster would be if FOX/PBC lost some actual money on the event. Anything else is a success, no matter how big or small.

No idea what the FOX numbers will end up being as there are reports of Wilder being guaranteed actually 20 mil and Ortiz 7. That means they would have had to sell a hell of a lot more than just 175k(Close to 500k, it would seem).
Going by official purses, 175k would be enough to break even, at least.

 

And the last four or five days are an extended holiday in America — few people work from about noon Wednesday (if they work at all) through Sunday on Thanksgiving week. Nobody puts out press releases (most don’t put out press releases on PPV numbers anyway, reporters get that info from sources — sources who have been off with their families for several days).

I know it’s a microwave society, but you don’t get everything you want when you want it.

 

There was a information in my country sites, that Wilder will took 20mil, and Ortiz 7mil, and the big part of this money will come from PPV.
And i was like wtf, that can`t be true. No way higher people will buy Ortiz vs Wilder 2, than they did with Ortiz - Wilder 1.
So i knew that was a fake news ..... Wilder team is desperate.
