A couple of days ago "Wilder is scared to fight TT, TT would knock Wilder out" Now it's "TT is 44, TT is shot" Ffs LOL atsch
But he really has a point. He didn't put it nicely but we can safely say Wilder's resume is a notch above.
I still think Thompson could still potentially be a bad matchup for Wilder... If he could catch Scott with a shot like that, who's more defensively sound and evasive I see no reason why he couldn't do the same to Wilder. Styles make fights. But that being said this win does little to raise Wilders stock... TT clearly showed signs of age in that fight, and is 4-4 in his last 8. Thompson/Wilder has been talked about for a couple of years now, things can change very quickly when you reach your 40s...... Safe to say that Wilder wanted nothing to do with TT in the past though. :deal
It wasn't that he beat him.... It's how he did it that was impressive at the time. :good Takam schooled Thompson over 12 rounds, start to finish without being knocked on his ass like Scott... Also keep in mind that fight was like 18 months ago. Takam isn't viewed as a good HW solely on that fight.... It's also the fact that he drew with Perez and many had him winning(including myself) and that he more than held his own with Povetkin, and a great back and forth fight.
Wilder would be the favorite sure.... But that's ridiculous. He couldn't get Molina out of there until the 9th rd..... Duhaupas made it into the championship rounds.
BULL****, the left hook did that man in. Yeah let's discredit most of Wlad's ko's then. Everyone took dives. Like Sugar Ray Leonard once said after No Mas "I didn't know the swimming pool was opened" :yep
Ray Austin. :hey Anyone with a purse would have got up, including me!!!! :deal Scott was nailed with a perfect left hook.
