Considering the amount of shame people bring on themselves online it really speaks volumes that Wilder fans stand out as a particularly embarrassing group to be a part of.

I wonder what excuses they'll trot out when Povetkin ices their hero?

Wilder haters are every bit as annoying and embarrassing, if not more so. Anyone who will literally come up with anything even outright lies just to diminish a guys career has serious problems.

Clearly, Helenius and Adamek are past their respective primes, no question about it. But both were still legit fighters with strong records too. Molina and Duhapaus are not the bums people thought, no question about it.

And I can't speak for other Wilder fans, but I will make no excuses if he loses to Povetkin.

Can't speak for other Wilder fans I haven't made the first excuse for Wilder, since he hasn't lost there has been no need. If he

I don't think Helenius was ever any good tbh and certainly isn't now post serious shoulder injuries and years of inactivity. As for Adamek, he was a decent LHW and respectable cruiser but never up to much as a HW. Factor in, he's now old and faded and you realise that neither the Molina or Duhapaus win yesterday mean anything.

The funny thing is, I don't care if Wilder wins against against Povetkin. It wouldn't bother me to see him prove himself the real deal as that's what most of his detractors have been asking him to do for a long time.

Happy to admit I was totally wrong and that Wilder isn't the mollycoddled fraud I suspected him of being if he beats Povetkin.

If he does win and it's a big if, the question will then be why the **** have his handlers wrapped him in cotton wool for so long?

These kinds of wins don't boost resumes. You beat a guy when you beat him. People **** on Mugabi when he gave Hagler one hell of a fight. He loses to Norris and he was a "never was". Povetkin is a bum, and if Wilder can't beat him, then Wilder was never good.

Povetkin is not the measuring stick of ny fighter considering that Wlad ****en embarrassed his big ass planet Jupiter head already. Pov got beat the **** up by a CW, and he wan't in shape. Wilder gets bumps and bruises in a fight and his comp is the worst comp ever! Give us a ****en break.

Damn near 37 years old and all of a sudden he's the catalyst to grade Wilder and other heavies when the division is far from excellent, and people don't want to admit it.

You're right Povetkin going life and death with an overrated crusierweight deserves discussion, it was a poor performance. His performances since then however are what have lead people to rate him.

And against Wlad, the refereeing was a disgrace. I'm not a clinch should instantly be penalised kinda guy but Klitscko got away with murder in that fight. His huggy bear routine really should have been dealt with by the man in the middle.

Huck isn't overrated, but he still was a CW. You have to stop naturally smaller men Louis Conn, Ali Foster style. You can't let them beat up on you. Even if you struggle you still win convincingly.

As far as Povetkin Wlad and the ref, Povetkin didn't change his game against Wlad. Like he should've. He was one dimensional. He kept trying to lunge in with wild punches, and he was getting tagged on the outside and thrown down when he got inside. A penalty point or two or 3 wouldn't have helped Pov. Did he even win a round?

I've always thought Huck is hugely overrated at 200lbs and was matched well at a time which allowed him to look better than he was/is.

Re. Waldo vs Povetkin, no, penalty points wouldn't have helped directly, but they would have forced Wlad to actually fight on the inside as after picking up a few deductions he wouldn't have risked being DQ'd. This would have given Povetkin a much better chance of having some success.
