The first word in your sentence says it all - IF.

Based on what we've seen over the last five plus years, as Wilder has padded his record with stiff after stiff - and some of them have put him on the canvas or on ***** street - there is NO reason to believe he will last more than a round or two with a world class fighter like Stiverne.

In fact, I will be somewhat surprised if Wilder last a minute. His chin is THAT bad.

His biggest names after 32 fights are Scott and Harrison.

    Case closed.

Only if he knocks out Wlad and dominates the division. Unlikely.

Don't forget that Floyd fought and beat a world champion at only 20 years old, in only his 18th professional fight. Then, in his very next fight, only a month and a half later, he beat a top contender in Angel Manfredy.

Wilder's mostly fought bums and shot fighters. Pretty much all of Floyd's opponents since G. Hernandez have been champions or top contenders.

You don't even need to look that far into Floyd's career, when he started challenging for world titles.

Deontay has yet to fight anyone the caliber of Tony Pep! (and I'm not sure paper champ Stiverne, with his claims to fame being two victories over the least dedicated heavyweight "contender" since Galento, and come-from-behind stoppage of a shot-to-bits Ray Austin - really counts as that caliber either!)

arreola 1,2 is 100 times more than what wilder has fought
ray austin is 20 notches ahead of the fat white wolf and the scott fight should just be thrown out of the equation all together

Even if Wilder does become a bigger star than Floyd, Floyd is infinitely more skilled than Wilder. If they were the same size, Floyd would humiliate Wilder.

    Agreed, which is pretty sad.

Just because Wilder is a joke, though, doesn't mean Stiverne isn't a paper champ. (and will continue to be one even if he smashes Wilder)

Wilder has no fan base and beating Stiverne isn't going to really change that. He has been buried on undercards and off tv for most of his career. If he was going to be a star he would at least be recognizable at this point by non boxing fans. Look at how popular Gerry ****ey was at this point compared to Wilder. They aren't much different really except as bad a Gerry was protected he fought much better fighters before his WBC title shot than Wilder has :rofl

    :good

Also, popularity aside, ****ey was a decent fighter in truth. Not great, but decent. (ask Holmes)

    He'd spark Wilder out.
