    The fact is that they will NEVER be the same size. That is like saying if Michael Jordan was the same size at Wilt Chamberlain he would humiliate him.

    Gerry wasn't a bad fighter just didn't develop because of his management and his own personal problems. The parallels between 1982 ****ey and 2014 Wilder are stunning when you think about it. Both were knocking everyone out (albeit faded or handpicked fighters) both were/are tall power punchers both were fighting a more experienced guy for the WBC belt and also in Las Vegas. Both were not ready for the Title Shot they were granted.

    Look at Rocky Marciano's and George Foreman's records in their first 30 fights....same thing could be said. Both had two credible name opponents.

    Wilders management has done him no favors either. He should have at least fought a Lyle or Young type opponent at this point and he hasn't. I guess you could compare Liakhovich to Kenny Norton maybe a shot former 'champion' that was brought in to produce what both got which was a quick and savage KO to garner 'attention'.

    Wilder like ****ey just hasn't been properly developed and it is going to show against Stiverne. Power only gets you so far in a fight like this. For Wilder to win he is going to really have to dig deep he hasn't ever gone past 4 rounds (Gerry hadn't gone past 8 before Holmes)

    Foreman had an extensive Amateur background though. Marciano was just a freak of nature for his size. How many Marciano type fighters have there been since his time? :think

    uh...no. Foreman was 22-4 as an amateur and Deontay was 22-5...both represented the U.S. in the Olympics and were medalists.

    Most Americans want their heavyweight champion to be exciting. So your post is not accurate in my opinion. See Larry Holmes as an example.

    Wilder is gonna crash and burn faster than Flight 370 and the broken shards of his chin will be equally hard to find

    Because the people you described in your post would really support a black man over a white one regardless of nationality, right?

    :lol::patsch

    Wlad vs Wilder would not be on PPV. It would be regular HBO.
