Hereof rounds 7 and 10 were the two that could have been given to Joe if need be. That leaves rounds 1-2-4-5-8-12 as definite Kessler rounds."

In another thread on this forum different posters made their scores public. I don´t think that many(if any) scored more than 4 rounds in favour of Kessler. Generally they(some did) also made sober aguments for their scorings. The interesting thing was that they saw it a bit differently. If you added up the rounds going to Kessler then it was something like 10-2 in his favour. Also, some danish boxing writer said that the bout should´ve been scored a draw OR a Kessler win. Furthermore someone said that Kessler landed the more(and more) telling shots if you watch the fight in slow motion.

With all that said, I didn´t see Kessler winning more than 3 or 4 rounds. Calzaghe didn´t exately "Lacy" Kessler but he was the more dominating fighter - he won fair and square. NO doubt in my mind about it! But some will put the fight under a microscope and see it differently, in the time to come - you can call them delusional. I think we´ll have to live with it.

He did win rounds 2 and 12. Its really not a question of emotions.

Kessler had 4 rounds and Calzaghe 7. Round 1 was a draw in my book.

This is a fair score, although I did give Calzaghe rd 1 due to him being busier.

I've watched the fight 3 times now. Live at the arena, SETANTA version with John Rawling and Ritchie Woodhall commentating and the HBO broadcast from America (cheers LeedsLad) with Lampley, Kellerman and Steward commentating.

I scored the fight 9-3 to Calzaghe

    4.Kess

    7.Kess
    8.Calz
    9.Calz
    10.Calz
    11.Calz
    12.Kess

117 - 111 . That was my scorecard from watching live.

    My scorecard from watching Setanta was 8 - 4 116 - 112
    Giving Kessler the second round.

My scorecard from watching HBO was 11 - 1 Giving Kessler the 4th round only. I've rewatched the 7th round which ive given to Calzaghe on this broadcast and Calzaghe lands the more shots and does a lot more work in the earlier half of the round, Kessler lands 2 or 3 big blows in the middle but Calzaghe comes right back.

Yes there are close rounds, but Calzaghe edges them.

    Final verdict, 9-3 Calzaghe.

Round 7 is the only one open to discussion. Maybe it was a draw - but I cant see it as Calzaghes round because of Kesslers more effective shots.
In round 2 Kessler was succesfull with the jab, which gave him the round imo.

If you score the fight that different because of the commentators - try switching off the sound. This is basically what the judges are supposed to do.

BTW - could you pm me about where I can find the fight?:good
