He made enough money out of this sport. He should just enjoy his family now with his health intact

Comparing Dereck Chisora to Danny Williams is quite telling. If Chisora insists on carrying on and not calling time on his career, I half expect him to get a Latvian or Maltese boxing license if the BBBofC refuse to renew his license with them because he failed the physical examination and brain scan.

Exactly. He knows he can collect some paychecks serving as cannon fodder for up and comers, so he will do so.

Keep his brain intact and get out.

If he is smart with his money, his family is set for life.

Well he's earning good cash and he's not quite articulate to do commentary afterwards.

So he might as well fill his boots while he can. It's not like he's getting brutally knocked out every fight.

Yes he's taking punches but he's a tough dude regardless.

I really don’t understand the mentalities of guys like Chisora. He’s made enough money, why keep getting punched in the face?

No, apparently he is better now than when Fury beat him because he is more dedicated. And in the HW division you are only two wins away from a title shot. Keep going, Dellboy. You're our hero.

Yes. There is no reason for him to continue. He doesn't even get in shape to fight a full 12 rounds.

He should retire for his health but he won’t because he loves the game too much.

It’s a bit of a conundrum as his role in the division serves many purposes.

Contenders want a high profile name like Chisora on their resume as it proves they’ve passed the acid test and he’s there to be beaten by anybody with ambition of being a top 10 fighter.

To beat Delboy you will have earned your money, and been paid well due to the UK fanbase draw. And the fans usually get to watch an entertaining fight even if he is a plucky loser they at least know what they’re getting.

As a boxer his skills are limited, but he makes the most of his attributes which can take you far in boxing (Heart, Chin, Strength, Aggression, Personality).

Make hay while the sun is shining he must be thinking as he’s only got a few more years of big money earning potential left and what else would he do if he wasn’t boxing anyway?

I'd be about 99% sure Chisora has already passed the point where he's going to be encountering....mental difficulties...later in his life. He's not known for having an overwhelming surplus of mental accuity to begin with...

He should stop. Many boxers, of course, don't. Very often this has to do with their not socking way quite as much money as they should have. I hope Chisora has not fallen prey to that.

Chisora is certainly not cut out to be a commentator...but he's got to be at least be more *interesting* than Lennox Lewis and Andre Ward.

    a) Unscripted reality TV Star
    b) B-movie action hero

    Some examples...

    a) Chisora joins the constabulary of a quiet village near the Scottish border. Hijinx ensue
    b) Chisora saves the world from the zombie apocalypse and scientists later find that a drop of his blood reverses the zombification process.

The man would be solid gold at either....

I think Chisora needs money, that's why he keeps on fighting.

Delboy at his peak was European level. He beat Helenius but got robbed, it wasn't a complete robbery, He lost to Kabayel. His best official win was probably Takam. Could have had a win Vs Whyte.

Yep a European level fighter) fringe contender briefly. World level chin and heart. Strong as an ox, good power. Not great technique, predictable as anything and quite slow, very slow feet, his defence deteriorated alot later on, he used to be able to roll and dodge a few well, but he lost that.
