All them "rebuilding" fights why not plodding Chisora? because they all know Chisora would have chinned him.

    Smartly avoided Kabayel also.

I said it a long time ago on here regarding Chisora, he would have bulldozed Josh.

Especially given how chisora fought everyone else and they are both popular brits. Press conferences would have been fun as well

Always fancied chisora to do a job on joshua. Although as much as chisora would have caused him problems not sure that he,d not have got took out at some point in that fight. Hes not as athletic, big or big punching as dubois. Had the tools to cause joshua problems tho. But he,d be easier timed coming in than dubois.

Was defo worth a fight at some point in joshuas career tho. Would have been great prep for joshua,s career if nothing else.

From Hearn/AJ’s perspective it’s not worth the risk: common opinion was/is that AJ is levels above Chisora, so there’s no need to risk putting AJ in with him. We saw Chisora give Parker and Whyte fits, even gave Usyk a bit of trouble in their first 4 rounds together.

If a Chisora overhand right lands flush on AJ’s chin it could be a disaster, so Hearn smartly never even floated Chisora as a suggestion for an AJ opponent.

Also I believe Chisora fights or fought under AJ’s management company, so there’s a conflict of interest there too.

So stupid. Chisora is up and Joshua down, so now AJ has been running in fear of a guy who has 13 losses.

And so transparent. OP is a Fury nuthugger, and three of Fury's top ten wins were against Chisora, so...

    So stupid.

Chisora is my favourite heavyweight right now and has been for many years but this take is moronic. I can't recall a time when this fight was every seriously called for by the fans, they were fighting at different levels for a long time.

When AJ won his first title in 2016, Chisora had lost twice that year to Pulev and Whyte and Joshua was contractually obligated to fight to Haymon fighters in his first defences as a part of the deal to secure the Martin title shot. Joshua then fought Wlad, Takam as a late replacement for his mandatory Pulev getting injured, then Parker and then his mandatory in Povetkin. Was Joshua meant to fight Chisora instead of one of these guys who all ranked higher with the exception of perhaps Takam but as I said it was meant to Pulev.

Then there was the Ruiz fights. Could he have fought Chisora instead of Ruiz, well Chisora had just lost to Kabayel and they wanted an American for his US debut. So no he was never an option. Then Joshua had his mandatory Pulev and then Usyk again a mandatory.

Only times they could have fought was before Joshua was champion or after the Usyk losses. In 2014 or earlier Joshua was too much of a novice, Joshua wasn't ready to step up then, when Joshua did step up Chisora was rebuilding after a brutal loss to Fury, so I doubt his team wanted him into with a young lion like AJ as they took easy fights. Then after the Usyk losses Chisora was seen as shot or near it, yeah maybe he could of been the late replacement for Whyte instead of Helenius but again he was coming off another bad loss to Fury and Helenius was probably a lot cheaper option.

I think early on Chisora probably gets TKO'd. But when AJ got defensive and Chisora started giving Parker and Usyk etc. a hard night, Hearn got very nervous about that fight. Otherwise it makes no sense Chisora wasn't a warm-up opponent since yes everyone else fought him, even Joyce. And we know Fury even fought him a third time.

Hearn recognised that Chisora will just keep coming and grind people down and that's a very bad opponent for an AJ who doesn't blast people out. Even the one that used to do that could fail to get the job done early on then gas and get stopped.

I think we're coming into a period in AJ's career where, just like Wilder, he's going to start getting KO'd and with each KO, be easy to KO. It's a shame because he's such a cool guy and an idol for many. Can't wait for his autobiography ghostwritten by Hearn.

It literally takes a 20 second look on google to find out why they will never fight and yet you get so many posters on here offering their opinions as to why Hearn/joshua have avoided it.

Just shows how moronic this forum is

I think Joshua has all the tools but he got stage fright. His first big fight in America he froze. Now again during the biggest boxing event in European History he froze.
