Two popular & reliable journeymen/world contender caliber fighters. I've recently felt that Chisora is the Bert Cooper of this generation of HW's. Who wins in what should be an entertaining slugfest.

At his best, Smokin' Bert out-slugs Chisora for the win.

Wicked left hook takes Derek out if Bert has been off the puff.

Del boy would probably be too big for him, but this would still be a damned good fight between two of the divisions best ever fringe contenders

I think I might edge the Cooper of the Mercer fight ahead of Chisora. Big power and high workrate.

I back Chisora. He didn’t really lose fights to guys on Cooper’s level whereas Cooper lost plenty to guys worse than Chisora and rarely, if ever, beat anyone that good.

Bert could win. If he's in the same shape as the Mercer fight. He'd get a decision for me.

Realistically speaking Chisora would beat Cooper in most cases and probably by stoppage. However this thread claims to pit Cooper on a good night vs Chisora on a good night. Smokin bert was called smokin for a reason. The man was on that cocaine(LOL) and some of that likely made him worse in lots of fights. Cooper on a good night was somewhat decent as shown against Mercer, Moorer and Norris. In that case Cooper would take it

This would be a very entertaining scrap. I went with Chisora by decision but who knows

I think Chisora was a bit too big and rugged to lose to Cooper, but it would be a hell of a scrap.

Chisora would be too big and solid for Bert. The version from the first Dillian Whyte fight would just grind Cooper down. Tat was the very best of "Del Bot" and no version of Cooper beats him.

This is a good call. Chisora probably more consistent than Cooper but cooper had better highs.

The worst Chisora beats the worst Cooper.

The best Cooper beats the best Chisora.

I have no idea what ‘prime’ here means as there’s not really an identifiable crest in either’s career arc.
