Mitchell Smith vs. Scott Moises, 10 rounds @ super featherweight

 

Round 1

The tall Moises circles and peers down at Moises to find a home for his jab. Smith begins to lean forward on the front foot and hook either side of Moises' long body and pop the left jab up into his mouth. Moises turns southpaw and plunges with a right jab to no avail. Slow opener but with flashes of promise to brew into a real battle.

Round 2

Smith iis bouncing around Moises, bobbing and leaning, putting up the jab and hooking the body with both hands in spirited flurries. Moises is jabbing and stepping back to get space to work. Smith drops a right hand like a crane boom and misses as Moises zigzags in close and lands before darting out.

Round 3

Smith is advancing in a Philly shell, ducking Moises' long jabs and leading with straight rights. Big left hook by Smith, falling short as Moises steps away with a side turn. Moises is very tight and stiff, folding his arms up close to protect his chin and body when Smith gets inside and flurries, then pushing out the jab but getting ducked with ease. Combo up top by Smith, caught on the backs of the gloves. Ripping body combo by Smith, hooking hard and backing Moises up. Smith slips jabs and gets in with a light hook.
