    Round 10

Gonzalez is sticking Butler with the jab and 1-2 and stepping quickly to his left, clear of retaliation. Butler gets in a hook on the hip but misses several consecutive jabs trying to press the advantage. Gonzalez is showing Butler up, intentionally overreacting when Butler gets in a partial touch, shaking his rump in a faux wobble. Body shots by Gonzalez from outside, flitting in and out, jerking back quickly when Butler counters.

10-9 Gonzalez, close one and Butler was often the aggressor but on clean work there was more than met the eye...

    96-94 Gonzalez

Yeah there's no way the judges got this close.

    Probably more like 8-2

    Round 11

Gonzalez is falling down and to his left, getting well under Butler's jab and then whipping up hooks from odd angles when Butler squares back up. Big flurry to the body by Gonzalez. Butler is pinned on the ropes but purchases clearance with a hard uppercut skidding off Gonzalez's forearms. Gonzalez is leaning to his right, very low, jabbing Butler in the navel and dipping his head down to his waist as Butler tries to cuff him with hooks. Butler is warned for a rabbit punch. They pause to check Butler's glove tape in a corner. Time in. Right hand by Gonzalez.

    10-9 Gonzalez

    106-103 Gonzalez

    Round 12

Gonzalez is hawk-diving with hooks to the body and then snapping upright with crisp double jabs to the face. Butler is cowed briefly by this tactic, but then begins timing Gonzalez with well-placed 1-2s and rocks him with one. Gonzalez bounces around on the outside and rolls under Butler's jab in between darts in to hack at the body. Right hand to the body by Gonzalez falling in, missing as Butler steps back and drops a jab down at the back of Gonzalez's head but also missing. Right hand lead and left hook by Gonzalez jumping in, missing. Butler counters with a jab stepping forward the instant Gonzalez is done but misses as well. Two way defensive exhibition here and all at close quarters. Not a war but enjoyable. Lead right by Butler, missing very wide and high. Jabs by Gonzalez downstairs. Jab to the forehead by Butler.

    10-9 Gonzalez, close

    116-112 Gonzalez

Nah I'd say Butler is at least 3 rounds up for me IB. I think Gonzales hasn't been that impressive, slippery sure and has landed some eye catching punches, but he's not pressed the action.

I'd say Butler needed a fight against someone from South America, he would have got stale fighting domestic challenges and he was far too good compared to anyone else in and around the UK at his weight class.

The problem is for Butler is that he's not really anything special, he might get a world title shot but he's not fast enough, athletic enough or skilled enough to realistically win a world title.

I'm sure ****** will get him a shot in a couple of fights.

Tricky last rd to score. Gonzalez landed the better shots so will give it to him.

    Gonzalez wins 7-5(115-113)

Judges will have it 116-112 to Butler though.
