Dereck Chisora vs. Edmund Gerber & Billy Joe Saunders vs. John Ryder RBR

This is Kean's pro debut. Boulter is 1-38-3.

Kean was a very highly touted amateur, said by some to have been good enough to represent the UK at the Olympics. (anyone know the particulars of why he didn't?)


So...yeah. Real pick 'em. :roll:

 

Round 1

Kean is jabbing and crossing, landing on the head of Boulter as he pulls back and leans away. Kean is scoring with the 1-2-3 as Boulter charges in and misses a right hand over his shoulder before scrabbling in an attempt to clasp Kean into a clinch.

After this comes a 10-rounder that may well go the full 10.

...and then it's the 'main event'. (by which time half the people in the venue will have gone home to bed)

 

Round 2

Kean is knocking Boulter around with the jab and right hand. Kean is showing a very auspicious quality for the pro game, throwing even harder punches in succession when he feels one connect. Boulter is backing up, holding the left glove up by his chin and carrying the right low to slip punches by twisting either way. Clinch by Boulter. Lead right to the body by Kean, reaching in and then bringing the right up to the face as Boulter leans away. Boulter is hurt by a left hook as he turns and whirls away from Kean.

Yeah, you're not wrong. The thread says "Dereck Chisora vs. Edmund Gerber & Billy Joe Saunders vs. John Ryder RBR" - that is, specifically for the BoxNation card.

Talk about the Sky card should be kept out. (although ordinarily there would be a separate thread for it, and there seems to not be one...but still, the point stands, this is quite expressly and pointedly the BoxNation RBR thread...)

 

Instead of counting sheep, they'll be having somnolent Gavin vs. Barnes flashbacks the rest of their miserable lives... :verysad

 

First time ever boxing pro, I mean, let's give him the whole scheduled four at least before passing judgment?

 

Round 3

Kean is jabbing and clawing at Boulter with two-handed flurries moving forward. Kean is showing lots of energy and staying aggressive but is made to look a bit sloppy as Boulter leans down low and shows a little slickness, very negative.
