He slips and blocks shots well. Saunders isn't easy to catch either though, he has decent footwork.

Ryder is a little limited offensively though.

6th was close, I will score it even because I missed about a minute of it :-(

    58-57 Saunders

Ryder's got classier skills than he was given credit for going in to this. He's timing BJS now, and Ryder's got him right where he wants him.

Ryder in the ascendency in round 7, 10-9

I have it even now (3 rounds each, 1 drawn) 67-67.

Were the rumors of Saunders being tight at the weight true? Really slowing down now, shutting down.

Round 7: Big round for Ryder; who finds success with the left and shakes Saunders midway through the round. Uppercut from Ryder then snaps back the head. Saunders tries to respond, but seems to be flagging as Ryder continues to pressure him.

    67-66 BJS

67 -66 Ryder for me , and it looks like he could be be taking the initiative.I had a feeling BJS might start to slow, but he'sstill in there. Still could go either way

Ryder can't hit the target to save his life.

Round 8: BJS steadies the ship by circling and working the jab with more success. Ryder comes on in the last minute and makes it close by landing a couple of nice hooks, but it's just a little too little to steal the frame.

    5-3 BJS

    77-75

Saunders had the better of the first half of round 8, Ryder had the better of the second half. Saunders hasn't got much other than the jab at the moment, but Ryder has to try and do a little more.

I gave it, tentatively, to Ryder

    76-75 Ryder
