Seems quite likely to be announced soon as the replacement for Chisora vs. Joseph Parker supporting Taylor vs. Prograis on the October 26th show (Parker withdrew last week due to "illness"). Joyce has a roughly half a foot advantage in both height and reach, but faces a huge deficit in experience. Chisora has more than quintuple as many rounds boxed, and has one fewer defeats than Joyce has bouts.
Question is for this fight is if chisora can go the pace joyce will set?! Joyce even so is slow but has a very good engine and wont tire.
I voted Joyce by stoppage but I think a lopsided UD win for Joyce would happen if these two fought. Chisora will like the fact that Joyce will stand and trade with him as Chisora tends to give up against decent movers/guys with decent jabs but I think Joyce's high output will be the difference in this one where Joyce will eventually wear him down and MAYBE even secure a late stoppage.
Chisora is the defacto gatekeeper for the top 10/15 with losses to Fury 2x, Whyte 2x, and Pulev. Proved that when he beat Takam for that spot lol. It's crazy there's a 1 year age difference yet Chisora has been on the HW radar for an actual decade at this point. As for predictions, uh, Joyce. Less miles on him. That's a big deal at HW.
I'm more interested in this than the Parker fight! Joyce did better than Klitschko vs Jennings & impressed me vs Stiverne (even though it was a premature stoppage imo).
Joyce by late stoppage, del boy will pour it on for the first six, but after that he becomes the plodder and Joyce then gives him a methodical beat down.
I think I'd like Joyce a lot more if Sam Jones wasn't so annoying. I find myself wanting Joyce to lose because of Jones which is a shame because Joyce seems a fairly good (albeit boring) guy.
Going with Joyce, but I think Chisora has the potential for the upset considering he's very strong and does hit quite hard on the inside when he's facing a slow stationary target. Should be a war.
