Dereck Chisora vs. Joseph Parker & Dmitry Bivol vs. Craig Richards + Taylor vs. Jonas RBR.

Parker I think is simply too nice - he has no dog / spite / meanness - too quick to smile in the ring at his opponent, I think this is why he tends to coast in spots - it's like he doesn't like actually boxing.

 

I gave up on Chisora after the Pulev defeat, he's lost five more times since then.

 

Parker was imo one of the weakest title holders of recent memory imo

 

This was a very ragged fight, with a lot of clinching, and not many clean punches, certainly not in the second half of the fight. First half of the fight, Chisora worst case scenario was winning 4 of the 6 rounds (the 3rd and 5th were close) plus he scored the knockdown with the overhand right less than 10 seconds into the fight. Second half of the fight, Chisora was badly gassed, and his BEST case scenario was winning 2 of those 6 rounds. Chisora started the 12th very strongly, but Parker rallied and had Chisora in big trouble against the ropes with about a minute left in the round before inexplicably backing off and letting Chisora out of trouble. I had Chisora winning, 6-6 rounds, 114-113 points. But the fight was so ragged, Chisora's cardio was bad, and Parker was too passive. As always in situations like this, there was the one utterly outrageous and inexplicable scorecard, and in this fight it was the 116-111 for Parker, which means that judge only gave Chisora three rounds, which is absolutely scandalous. Chisora has been very hard done by in his career, with several close losses, some of them clear robberies. I don't think this fight was a robbery, it was far too ragged a fight. Chisora needs to decide to stop smoking and take his cardiovascular conditioning seriously. If he does, he can continue to compete near the top of the heavyweight division. If he doesn't, then he needs to retire.

Parker was the more accurate puncher, Chisora was missing a lot. I scored it 114-113 for Parker. Close fight, and not a robbery.

 

Parker has no fire in the belly. None. No killer instinct. None. He had a totally gassed, weakened opponent in front of him
and did NOTHING to take him out. Just content to throw some weak punches and get out of the way.

He needs a shrink.

For everyone saying chisoras crap...in the last 5 years...no ones had an easy night against him. They,ve all actually had long tough nights against him if anything. He always lands. Hes strong. He pressures you constantly.

Chisoras a better fighter nowadays than he was.

Honestly i,d stick him in with joshua. People will laugh at that...but he,d have more chance against joshua than parker and pulev had. Guys that dont really have much of an arsenal going forward. Joshua doesnt like someone sticking it on him.

Whyte did from the first round and watching it back it was easily joshuas most amatuer performance barring ruiz one. Another guy that ended up sticking it on him.

Its a big ask for chisora...but i dont really rate joshuas chin. Like any of joshuas opponents their in danger of getting knocked out early...but chisoras got enough going forward to make that an interesting fight. Its not a style joshua loves. Its not really a style anyone loves barring fury tbf.

Chisora needs to look into changing it up going forward tho....chucking everything in the first five rounds leaves him knackered. Needs to take the foot off the gas at times.

I think Chisora'd body attack had something to do with that.

 

He cant change it up as he just becomes a sitting duck. To be fair he got a second wind in the his last 2 fights. Hayes 10% really paying off
