It's not really pathetic when you are preparing for your first heavyweight fight after a long lay off. I don't really understand your logic? Just because Chisora was KTFO doesn't mean Parker should have a short camp. Parker should come in prepared as expected, as a fighter should always prepare for a fight.
Chisora was already preparing, while Parker is currently at home with his partner with a child due in a few weeks time - after missing the births of his first two children due to preparing for fights. This will have had a lot to do with the decision making process, I'd say.
