ill of the dead and all that. mason to me was just not that good. he was stiff and physically dominating like bruno but without the jab and range. he was pretty much just banking on being athletic and big to overwhelm. against fighters who were expereinced and big enough they survived and succeeded. now...yeah. chisora has a ton of losses. he has lost to the very best and beaten some of the better heavies of the last decade and a piece. i couls see mason landing huge shots but i think chisoras inside work, cover up and swarm could of undermined mason.
I think Gary Mason had a bit too much for Chisora and would have got a points victory. Proper old-school fight this. Great match-up.
Would of been a great fight..difficult to pick a winner. Lennox essentially ended his career. Let's just say instead of fighting Lewis he fought Chisora then I'm picking Mason for the win.
Mason was a big puncher and had a solid chin he gave Lewis a fairly good fight until his eye gave out. I think Mason vs Chisora would be very competitive and a very fun fight in the same vein as Chisora vs Whyte.
Mason's record was much better on paper, but Chisora scored much better wins and overall fought 10+ world class opponents. There is no much difference between these two in terms of skills, power or speed. 50/50 fight
