There are a lot of divergent views on Chisora expressed in various post on this site, such as today's good thread on Parker vs. him. Let's see if we can get a guage on the views.
When he's in shape he's a half decent (diminutive) heavyweight. I'd quite like to see him fight Stiverne, I reckon that would be a good mesh of styles.
Theres good reason Wlad ducked Chisora twice. Vitali was on the verge of quitting against him, literally saved by the bell. Hyped to hell Helenius won one round against him. Only an elite level guy like Haye was able to KO him, Parker would be cannon fodder Motivated Chisora walks through the likes of Povetkin, Pulev etc
The current 20lbs overweight version is a gatekeeper, a fit and motivated Chisora is a fringe contender.
Somewhere between 1 and 2. He was a solid top 10 hw at peak, 12 to 15ish now but could see a motivated Del Boy getting back into the mix. More than "fringe" but less than "top" imo. On Ring's top 10, I think motivated Chisora beats Glazkov, Chagaev, probably Thompson at this stage. Maybe even Jennings or Pulev, thought they'd rightly be favored. Would be a few outside of Ring's top 10 who would probably beat him though.
Yeah, 25 Mil to fight the more skilled and more popular David Haye, the fight everyone was calling for in the first place.
I think accurate on both accounts, but query whether a fit and motivated Chisora will ever turn up again.
Gatekeep at most. With the potential to become a journeyman soon. He used to be a top contender when being in this prime - particularly, against Helenius and Klitschko. But then that KO against Haye really broke him down. Even after he got himself into shape, he became a very poor, straight-forward fighter: he lost his ability to break on the inside, cut off the ring (kept walking into the punches), had mediocre power and stamina. For some reason I watched every Chisora's fight after Klitschko, and they all were awfully boring. He looked terrible against such journeymen as Gerber and Pala and got typical British stoppages out of nowhere, was outpointed by Malik Scott until a dubious knockout, boring fight against Kevin Johnson, disgraceful performance against Tyson Fury (which made the gypsy so damn proud he keeps masturbating each night rewatching that fight). Finally, couldn't even hurt a total bum Marcelo Luiz Nascimento in his latest fight - was slow, predictable and (again) so ****ing boring. He has no future at all. I have no pity for him even, because I don't like this type of fighters. Pressure fighters can often be far less exciting then slick fighters fighting on the back foot, and this is a vivid example.
