Personally a big fan of Delboy, always puts in a shift when he's in good shape , and always tries to when he's not Really liking his motivation lately , everyone knows he's not a top level fighter but nobody that signs to fight Chisora should underestimate him either , he's a tough as nails grinder of a fighter that on his night will make you dig deep for answers , tough to put away and for as long as he's on his feet he is dangerous He's also relishing his warrior reputation lately which , while it's definitely not gonna prolong his career, is definitely gonna make his fights all the more thrilling as long as they last WAR Chisora
Aye, really motivating himself to achieve with the likes of this: https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/dereck-chisora-vs-senad-gashi.625778/ But no, seriously, I do respect Del-Boy for his career thus far...just not sure he should prolong it much beyond now. Only so many licks you can take even with a thick skull before it starts to affect you later in life..
This is the kinda fight he should be in, more to his level , so he doesn't have to take a pasting from somebody levels above him, a definite entertainer and a great addition to British boxing , he's one of those fighters where I'll never be sad to see him added to a big card But yes mate absolutely bang on, only so many licks you can take and Delboy must surely have exceeded that already !
I hope the pairing with Allen vs. Browne in the co-main event means we get to see him roll over the winner of that one next!
My favourite fighter, plays his role well , game as anything and can cause anyone problems. Robbed by Matchroom in the first Whyte fight. Vitali couldn't put him away, Haye press conference, Fury fights, Takam knock out Been a lot of frustrating moments too. I wear my War chisora t shirt every time I'm out running. WAR CHISORA
Hmmmm. Tyson chisora 2 was a beatdown, you could literally see fury looking at the ref to stop it. Fury really only the fighter to beat the dog out of chisora, he was happy to be pulled out
Chisora is a really good loser really, always lost when he has stepped up, tbh he should probably retire before all these shots start taking their toll, he caught be short of money, quite a few PPV's
I'm fond of Del He has played his part in the building up of British boxing and it seems with DAZMroom nicking the UK talent will be pivotal to what shows we get for the short term Has never had the talent to beat the elite as seen in the second Fury fight and he has let himself down to oftening with conditioning But has been in some good fights, has heart and let's be honest he is a bit of a character Not quite War but whilst he is around I'll pay attention
Quite fond of him. I don't buy into the 'lack of motivation' script that comes out when he loses to someone who can box a bit though, happens too often. Someone above described him as a 'good loser' and that's perfect
The guys full of shite, gets beat by top guys time after time, Hearn and Haye is using him has a punchbag now How can he get so many chances? Dave Allan joint top of the bill omg his best win was Nick Webb who the polish guy beat even quicker, Allan is an English level fighter no more
I am not a fan of Chisora antics in build up to the fights against Vitali, Haye, Pulev and Whyte. Credit where it's due though, he has been in some very entertaining fights against Takam and both of the Whyte fights.
You just can't knock a guy like that. A warrior. Hopefully, he will pack it in soon though. Maybe 1 more payday in him.
I really like chisora but he proper half assed it when he though agit in Monaco looked unmotivated in that one but since then he’s really put the effort in and got a career best win in takam fight and was ahead on cards before Whyte stoppage.
I remember quite liking Chisora when he was first emerging - but then when he turned up in such bad shape against Fury in 2011 (I'm convinced an in-shape Chisora could have decisioned THAT version of Fury at the time) and played all that panto crap with Vitali and Haye throughout early 2012, I went right off him. But I have to admit, he did a lot to win me back over as the years have gone on. A dependable gatekeeper type, with no dog in him. Have to admire his plucky approach to the sport, albeit like others have said I'd like to see him hang 'em up now. The Takam win was a nice, perhaps unexpected little Indian Summer for his career, but I don't want to see him repeatedly fed to the up'n'comers as a sacrificial lamb, which is where he's headed these days. For a Euro-level fighter, he's earned better than most can expect, so hopefully he's not forced in to fighting purely to pay the bills in coming years.
