He beat Mercer and Joe Mesi's last opponent. He lost his only fight to Chambers. Now where does he go from here? And what about Mercer. Hopefully this will convince him to retire.
I personally believe Rossy is not that good and wont go very far. He'll have trouble with anybody top 25.
More like the top 100. He isn't worth making a post about. He got a little bit of fame from beating a 90 year old Mercer, but the next time he steps up to a C level or higher fighter he'll get knocked out.
I'm not convinced he's good at all. Didn't Chambers knock him out? Rossy actually went to my high school. He's a few years older than me, but there is absolutely no commotion about him whatsoever. I hadn't even heard of him until he was on FNF losing to Chambers.
Mercer fought tough bouts back to back against Holyfield and Lewis. This after he was given a gift draw against
Mercer fought Holyfield and Lewis really back to back these fights happened after Mercer was given a gift draw over 7-9-2 Marion Wilson.
I was at the fight and if Rossy amounts to anything I'll be amazed. Mercer was a lumbering bracheosaurus and Rossy was too timid to open up and dent him. Shite.
i hope derric proves all of you guys wrong, when derric was undefeated and looking good throwing 3-4-5 punch combinations throughout most of the fight he was weighing in at about 230-235 lbs. then leading up to his fight with chambers he was using a trainer who was training him more for football then boxing and he ballooned to 258 lbs. that was the weight he fought against chambers or in that vacinity. after his training with the monks in china i believe he is a different person he came back from that training weighing in around 230 lbs again and looking good and moving quick. i think rossy is an exciting fighter to watch and maybe i am being biased but he is alot more exciting to watch then most of these other hws. anyway i think rossys next opponent will be witherspoon or believe it or not aereola. call me crazy but i just have a hunch.
I actually like Rossy. He has an above average jab and hasn't been in boxing for that long. Will he ever be a champ? Probably not. But, he could possibly work himself into the top 25. I saw his fight against Shannon Miller prior to the Chambers fight and I thought he looked quite good. He started out alright against Chambers too in the first few rounds.
i agree with that, rossy was busting chambers up in the first two rounds, and then when he blew his eardums the fight went down hill from there.rossy has potential to be very very good especially if he can continue to fight in the 230 lb range.
yeah sometimes China, I move about. Damon - I mailed the hotel, no answer yet. If nothing soon I'll mail them again.
