A criminal performance from Briggs seconds and the third man.
A one sided beat down that should have been stopped after half way!

I still think the worst case of referee negligence I've seen yet is Johansson-Machen

Likewise the 6th round KO of Beau Jack by Ike Williams.

I think the WBA was also highly culpable by installing a club-fighter as their #1 contender. Likewise the WBC for installing Kiko Bejines as their top man at 118 after a year of inactivity and having lost his last fight. These two were thrown to the wolves.

I remember seeing this and thought the only two entities that wouldn't see that it needed to end were the ref and Briggs corner.

Any bout involving Laurence Cole is suspect.

    Completely agree.
Apart from letting Johansson hit the defenceless Machen with several huge blows, after completing the count he turns away and shows no concern for Machen whatsoever.

I disagree. It was a grey area. A judgement call. Hindsight being 20/20 it's obvious it should have been stopped, but Duk just kept on coming back. Full article (one of my very best) here: https://imgur.com/gallery/e68bfll

Worse even than Holmes-Cobb....except this particular torture session, had it been set for 15 rounds, I believe would have resulted in a collapse from Briggs.
Oh, McVey,... please don't mistake the "like" I gave this post to mean that I "liked" this evil spectacle. It wasn't meant to go the limit...it should have been an 8th round tko at least.

That right Ingo landed to the back of Floyd's head (for that 2nd kd) was egregious.
