Lou Dibella bid 120k for the Tureano Johnson fight. So Derevenchenko got a whopping 60k for his biggest fight ever

Looks like the IBF is about to strip GGG. If GGG offered Derevenchenko 100k for step aside so he could cash in vs Canelo in sept if the fight happens, that would be near double Sergey highest payday.

Have there been any updates regarding the IBF situation? I cant find anything.
They supposedly have 2 days to do something about Derevyachenko or the belt is gone.

Per the seen Loeffler seems noncommittal
IBF is crazy to strip ggg
They gonna get big fees from ggg Canelo
Sergey is terribly promoted has no draw no fan base he’s gonna fight a nobody for 100k

Last thing i read in one of team GGG recent interviews was that Loeffler was going to clarify some details with IBF first, which is a little bizzare given how clear cut the conditions are.

I'll say it again here. I'm sure Derevyanchenko won't take step-aside money.
    Especially 100k :cunaooooo:

Basically everyone's got their price, but yeah it would take a LOT more than 100k.

It actually would be double. 100k comes without training expenses or promotion.

Yes, but I'm talking different mentality, most probably. Maybe it's now quite OK in America for professional boxers to take step-aside money, but Derevyanchenko will literally disgrace himself in the eyes of most Ukrainian fans if he does something like that. Even now he spends quite some time in Ukraine and, I guess, is going to come back here to live after his career is over, so, again, he won't ever take step-aside money.

Unless it's something astronomical, lol. :)

Loffler already paid them 20K to buy more time and they aren't even sanctioning the fight. I don't think there will be a step-aside option granted.
They've made it clear that he either makes the fight within 90 days or he gives up the belt.

This guy is seriously underpaid compared to all those overpaid guys that fought under the DiBella banner.

    • Golovkin-Martirosyan must take place on or before May 5, 2018.

    • Golovkin must agree in writing before the fight that he will next fight the IBF middleweight mandatory within 90 days of the May 5 bout or by Friday, Aug. 3, 2018.

    • Golovkin must agree in writing before the May 5 fight "to indemnify, hold harmless and otherwise reimburse the IBF for any legal fees or other expenses related to the granting of this exception, including, but not limited to, the cost attendant to any resultant litigation."

    • Golovkin must "comply with all of the conditions set forth in the granting of this exception" or formal sanction won't be issued for the May 5 bout.
